Why does it still feel so wrong-open

May couldn't sleep. She had been trying for hours. If Bruce was in the empty bed next to her then he would have woken to tell her to sleep and that she didn't need to be afraid of it. Even though she knew he would say it and she could her his would in the back of her mind she just couldn't. Sleep did not come easily to the sixteen year old ever. She had finally seen and been with her sister. The nightmares hadn't stopped. They were just slightly different now.
She was afraid of losing them all over again. In her thoughts she had not realized that she had gotten up and was grabbing a jacket. She sighed knowing where her body and feet were going to take her. She let her feet do the walking and she tried to calm her mind. The walk might help her sleep. She turned down a corner and reached the edge of the district where some of the wilderness was safe from the factories. She looked down and then back up again finding the small hole she could climb through. She decided against that though. She over down the fence a little more and then found a place to curl up.
It was cold out tonight but May hardly felt it. She was numb. Being with her sisters the feeling had come back but now she was alone once again she was numb. She wasn't even sure how to tell her adoptive parents she had found the last of her family. Would they be angry? She was so lost in thought she didn't notice any slight sounds around her just yet.
