"Pain demands to be felt"

In the wealthiest District of them all, 2, a group of teenagers meets once a week at the community hall to discuss one thing they all have in common; Cancer. Sufferers and survivors alike, every week they meet up in the same hall to the variety of changing faces with death looming over them. Each has their own fear and each of them change as their illness gets better, or worse. Romances spawn and dreams are made during these weekly sessions, trips to the hospital and movie nights around one anothers. Some wish they were free of this restraint while others wish it would just take them quicker; but life (and death) have other plans for them in store.

Characters

Hazel Grace Lancaster:FC:Owner

A conscientious, 16 year old girl who suffers from Thyroid Cancer which has now spread to her lungs. She has to wear a cannula with a constant oxygen supply and take a variety of pills to stop the cancer from growing further. She is very distant from many in the group, since she believes she will hurt people when she dies; until she meets Augustus Waters.

Augustus 'Gus' Waters:FC:Owner
A witty, obnoxious, 16 year old cancer survivor- with a prosthetic leg- who joins the support group with his friend Isaac. A bit of a show off when it comes to romantic gestures and making an impression, this boy is not the first ideal candidate for a best friend. His current girlfriend is Caroline.

Isaac:FC:Owner
Friend of both Hazel and Gus, Isaac had eye cancer and has already lost one eye to it but is currently in remission. Isaac enjoys reading like Hazel and Gus.

Caroline Mathers:FC:Owner
Caroline is the girlfriend of Augustus and is suffering from brain cancer which is changing the way she acts and is slowly becoming cruel, selfish and impulsive; even towards Augustus.
