[presto] may rhodes. sixteen. female. district nine. THE ROSES OF THE CIMARRON | Day four and May was trying to figure out exactly what it was she was going to be focusing on. She had already made sure she knew how to make fire but that wasn't the thing she wanted to perfect. She had looked at the trapping station but that wasn't something she wanted to perfect either. She knew a little but by no means was she sure it was going to help her emensily in the arena. No she had to perfect the things that may keep her alive. Trapping was good for catching live food and fire was good for cooking but there had to be other ways of getting food in the arena. Then you had to think about how you were going to fight. She could do hand to hand but if someone she was fighting had a weapon she wouldn't want to do that. She had checked out the weapons stations and was set on throwing knives or the bow. Either of them would allow her to shoot from a distance or to make sure she wasn't see while doing it if she was good enough. Then there was stealth or hiding one had to take into consideration and she did. She could make herself unseen should she really want too. She'd done that type of thing while observing in her own district. Or when people were not paying her mind. She'd already snuck up on one of the trainers. The man had not been paying attention and she had tapped him on the shoulder to ask him a question. She had practiced with her weapons of choice already. She needed something else to round out what she wanted to do. She wanted to be able to scout about the arena and make a quick move to get out if possible. Or to help out another. She always had Nocturne in the back of her mind. After all she needed to make sure he at least made it through the bloodbath. She took a deep breath and then spotted the firs aid station. That was it any alliance she formed and any thing she did she'd need to be able to heal herself or another from. Yes this was going to be a place of focus. It had to be a place of focus. She walked over to the first aid station with confidence and took the book from the trainer there. She was not to keen on listening she'd rather see what she could do first before asking the questions. May was not a people person if she didn't want to be. She got down to work looking at a dummy that needed to be sown back up. She was not paying attention to anyone or anything that might be coming her way and rightly she didn't care. She was a little to focused on figuring out how to sew the thing back up again. "from the truth of a thousand lies" |
