[presto] may rhodes. sixteen. female. district nine. THE ROSES OF THE CIMARRON | All of this was new to the sixteen year old girl who had not slept well the night before. It seemed that even though she was here in another nightmare she was still having the nightmares that plagued her back home. She wished she could turn them off and get a good nights sleep but apparently it was good enough for her. May had woken up with start early in the morning and it wasn't until somewhere around seven that she decided to head down to the training center. Her mind was on the tribute parade from the night before. Upon arrival all the tributes were prepped and polished up for their first television debut. It took forever to get her cleaned up in seemed. She really didn't like all the people fussing about her and the capitol prep teams seemed a bit scary. She wasn't so sure she was going to be okay with all of this. That was until Kent walked in and everything seemed to go out the window. He was dressed well and didn't look as scary as all the others. He wore simple things and to make her feel more at home he thought he wore a light blue shirt and jeans. It was sight that though it made her sad it made her happy all at the same time. She knew it wouldn't be like that every day but at least she had someone who cared on her prep team so to speak. |
He did not play dress up with the two of them. Kent put her into an outfit that both spoke volumes about her and about her district. It was tastefully done. So that was the image she had in her head as she pushed open the doors to the training center. She looked inside to see some of the careers already in there. The only reason she knew what they were was because they seemed to have just moved off to the dangerous stuff without a second thought and looked deadly with whatever it was they were practicing with. She saw a few other tributes lingering by the door. She figured a good run around the center would help her wake up and figure out what it was she wanted to tackle first on the list of things to do. She ran about two laps around the area and they she ran towards an obstacle course. After falling only once while trying to climb something she was done with that and jogging in place to slow herself down a little bit. She looked around and noticed that there were more people in the training center now. The trainers looked like they were bored out of their minds and some of the other tributes had finally chosen what it was they were going to do.
May looked over to the weapons racks and smiled to herself. That was where she would start today after all she had to learn how to use one of them if she wanted to be able to keep herself well protected while in the games. It wasn't just for the people but there might be creatures out to get her as well.
