Yule Wolfmark - District 10 - Finished!!!

Yule is definitely unique.  He stands at 6 feet tall, and weighs 225 pounds, most of which is in muscle.  Despite being just 6 feet and 3 inches tall (already pretty tall), he towers over most people, intimidatingly.  Yule is 17 years old, but looks as if he could be in his mid 20s.  To add on to his incredible size, he also has large feet, some of his daily struggles include attempting to find shoes that fit them.  Most of the time he can't even find shoes, so he walks around barefoot, but that is not in any means a good thing, particularly if you sit next to him.  His feet have the fragrance of a decomposing animal, and the smell is something that he has trouble containing, he washes his feet multiple times a day to keep it from making people faint.  If he didn't, ripred knows what would happen.

He has brown hair with blonde streaks which he tries to keep clean, and looks that way compared to most of him.  His brown eyes stare into your soul, which could be menacing at times, but also can be heart-warming.  He has a beard, and had been in the habit of letting it grow, but as of recently decided that he should try and maintain it by shaving it, he does so daily, but he still is noticeable despite his best attempts and small amount of materials.  Overall, if he managed to maintain himself, people would not judge him be scared of him nearly as much.  But, he can't do so because he barely has enough money to keep him and his mother alive.

 

Yule is most often referred to as a monster or a beast or anything of that regard when looked at by society, which makes it virtually impossible for him to make friends or have many social skills.  This makes him silent to the point that most believe he is mute even.  But he makes his words count.  He could sit in a room with someone for an hour, and barely say a simple 'hi', yet still have a decent analysis of whoever he is with. This may sound like he is judgmental, but he doesn't make assumptions that he cannot prove.  

After knowing someone for a while, you begin to have expectations for them, and with how they react to certain things.  Most people would believe that Yule is passive, and silent for the most parts, one who channels their thoughts on the inside.  However, this is not true for Yule.  He has a darker side.  If you ask him about it he will be bamboozled, that is because he has not seen it through is own eyes.  When this side of him appears, he is unknowing.  From their, it's as if someone has taken over him, he will do things out of his nature, and human nature.  He has chased animals, people and even trees, but when he is this way, he will find some object and will turn it into a weapon, and he will use it.  But when he has calmed down, he won't remember a thing.  It's strange how it works, but it is a weird world.

One thing that a lot of people don't know about Yule is that he is mainly scared.  For someone his size, that might come to you as a surprise, but even he can be that way.  He is scared of other people, and what they think about him.  Judgement by his peers is something he is afraid of, but he is even more scared of how people view his darker side.  They don't ever understand.  It's not something he can control, at least for now.  

When Yule was born, his parents left him almost immediately.  They were young, irresponsible, and did not know what to do.  So, when Yule was born, his father left him with his mother, Lunina.  She cared for him as much as she could, but it wasn't much, she was 19 years old at the time that he was born, and she was poor, almost to the point of homelessness.  But, she fought for her son's life.  She earned money in whatever ways she could (including unmentionable things.)  By the time Yule was ready to begin his education, they were living in a small hut in District 10, off of a very small budget.

When Yule entered school he was a lot larger than most of the kids his age, so much so that he intimidated most of them.  He had very few people that would even dare talk to him, and even less attempt to be friends with him.  Yule was never bullied, because no one had the guts to do so, but he also never provoked anyone.  He remained a dark horse, he remained silent.  He barely speaks, but when he does he tries to make the most of his words.  People think he isn't smart because of his appearance, but that is certainly not the case.  Yule is observant, he gets that from his mother, and he uses it to his advantage.

In more recent years, Yule has tried to make himself prepared to make a living, in which he must learn to coincide with this other part of him.  As stated before, he is not ignorant, however, he is not the brightest bulb in the lot in terms of 'book-smarts.'  He gets average grades at school, but there's really nothing special about him in that regard.  He has his muscles, and intends to use them.  He wants/believes that he will be a farmhand, or one day become an owner of a farm to produce livestock for his District.  He already gardens on a daily basis in the front yard of his small hut, he will learn the ways of farming quickly, if there is nothing that will stop him.
