Thats what I tell myself as I walk through the streets which were now cast in a shadow of darkness. She had told me before she left that she wanted the family to stay together. That is why I accepted those brats who claimed to be bastards, members of the family, people who had the Blackmore blood running through their veins. If it had been any other shit bag I would have kicked them onto the streets without a second thought. But they had my blood, the blood that my mother made me swear to protect so there they were, tucked away safety into the house which had once just housed me and my twin and mother and father. Sometimes I wish that times could just rewind to a time when life was easy, hen mother would praise for my creativity, where father would back away in disgust.

Mother had been so happy with me and thats all I had acred about.

A rustle in the bushes may have scared another person but it just filled my with annoyance. Slowly I turn my icy gaze towards the rustling- it only last for a few moments before it dies. Smiling inwardly I keep walking, my feet barely making a sound as i walked down the streets. Arwen had told me where I was to find him, she had spat it in my face. Sometimes I wished that I could just gut that kid and hang her out for the cannibals in the family. She was a little shit always sneaking around sling and damn did that child have an attitude. I guess it wasn't surprising was it? After all she was a Blackmore and Blackmore’s were not exactly the sunshine on the streets. Most of us were quite sour, but polite and respectful when needed. To be honest people kind of avoided us and i guess that is exactly how I liked it. After all people were nothing but parasites in my opinion.

Turn here. That was right. Arwen had said that he was living in a shit hole with other homeless rats, living like a scavenger getting what he could. The thought of him living like that brought a smile to my lips. All my life I had wanted to see was my family kicked to the curb living like the rats that they were- it warmed my heart. Most people would think that was sick- would they not? But they didn't understand. They didn't understand just how repulsive most of the people were in my family. I mean one of them fucked the dead, another drank blood and another decided it would be a great idea to eat fucking human flesh. I mean I knew that this one, the one i was looking for was not that bad. I mean he was absolutely a fucking pain in my ass hole but he was the only one who challenges me. The only one thinking that he could take my place as king in my palace.

How long had it been since he walked out that door? Since Logan walked out of my life? I’ll tell ya, not long enough. But here I was, wasn't I? looking for him because I was a good person. He couldn't see it. Most of my family probably couldn't see it. But I was a good person. Ha. Well… Maybe that was a lie. I wasn't really a good person. I was pretty horrible to tell the truth. But that was because I had to be because I was surrounded by termites and a king in a nest of termites had trouble socialising with lesser beings- you couldn't really blame me now, could you?

I round the last corner, the one that Arwen said I would find him and she was right because there he was. Dirt covered his face and I could smell him from here. Scrunching up my nose I reluctantly walk over to him fighting the urge to plug my nose with my fingers. It only takes me a few moments to reach him and when I do I give him a swift kick in the leg in an attempt to wake him up. “Oi you little shit head, wake up!” I growl at him, my eyes as cold as ice.

"Oi you little shit head, wake up!" I would know that voice anywhere. Ever since Eirwen and I kissed, I've been living in the streets. Granted it hasn't been more than a few days at most since that blissful moment. I'm not sure how or even why Aragorn decided to seek me out. Perhaps to scold me for living like this. Maybe Eirwen bragged to Milo about the kiss and in turn contacted Aragorn to kick my ass. Milo said I was welcome at the Birch house, but after my moment with Eirwen everything in my mind changed. I don't know for sure if Milo knows about Eirwen and I, but I didn't give her the chance to fling insults at me which is why I left the house. Now I've been living not so well. Going back to the Blackmore house wasn't a option. Aragorn would have had such a good time seeing me beg to be accepted back after the whole dinner incident. Which makes his appearance here even more confusing. Why would he seek me out?

"Why are you here? I answer him without emotion in my voice. As if he doesn't deserve my attention. Despite what's happened to me in the past few days living off scraps and barely getting by, I will not bow to Aragorn not now not ever. I never want to be his pawn. Someone who's essentially whipped. My struggle to remain civil with him is turning out to require a lot of effort. Not one minute has gone by and already I want to pound his face in like he did to me so long ago. I still cant fathom why he's here. I'm out of his life. No longer a stain on the Blackmore name like I know he thinks I am. I've broken free of his reign of terror. If a fight is what Aragorn wants a fight he will get. All of this started because of my love for Milo. My infatuation with Eirwen has gotten me into this mess. I'm done fighting what I've wanted to deny for days. Milo has my heart, but Eirwen may be creeping up to steal it. "Again why are you here? I don't need a reminder about our burning hatred for each other."

"Why are you here?” The words contain no emotion at all and it takes all i have not to give a bark of laughter at how pathetic the by looked. I smile down at him, a condescending smile that didn't hide the fact that I knew I was better than him. He was lying in trash. Trash. A Blackmore was lying in trash. In a way it was disappointing because my blood was rolling around in the place that flies feed, but in another way it was satisfying. So so so very because this boy Logan Blackmore and for so long i had wanted to see him like this, face smeared with dirt and grime his face fallen and distraught. I knew he was trying to hide all shred of emotions but you couldn't when you were starving because you had no food at all. "Again why are you here? I don't need a reminder about our burning hatred for each other.”

This time my laughter is full of sarcasm as I kick a piece of rubbish that was laying around lazily in a corner. “Ahh yes, that is true. Hate, hate I do.” My words are filled with disgust as my eyes fl around the scrappy place once again. I wanted nothing to do with this place, nothing to do with the person who was laying in the mess but I knew that I had, I knew that I couldn't turn around because I had already made the situation drag out for to long. I should have come for him a while ago. Mother would be disappointed. Mother would be angry. My heart tightens in my chest because the last thing i anted to do was to do something that would bring disappointment to mother.

The image still making the blood in my veins run faster with excitement. It was quite sicking, wasn't it? Most people would be horrified to see their family like this. But as I have said I am not like most people because most people aren’t like me. I was the king you see. In my family I was the master pulling the strings to the puppets. But in the big world I was the king and everyone else were just peasants; my family finding themselves to be dogs almost. Maybe lower, I wasn't quite sure right now. There were a few hat I could tolerate, a few that might actually find a place in my heart, even if it was a tiny place.

“Begin homeless suits you,” I spit out at him. Damnit. I was supposed to be nice, I was supposed to sugar coat my words, wasn't I? I was supposed to gain his trust damnit. Sighing I kick at the ground once again, finding myself to be rather restless- which was a feeling that was foreign to me and I sure as hell didn't like it. Shaking my head I squat down so that I am at eye level Logan my elbows resting on my knees my hands hanging loosely in front of me. “Look the deal is…” I couldn't do it. I duck my head and run my long fingers through the dark locks of my hair brushing the looks away from my eyes, my gas focused on the grimy cement in which I stood on. I just had to say it. For- for mother. “Look I am just going to say and and lets get this straight- I don't want this, don't want you to come home but this is what she would have wanted, okay? Come home. Come back to the Blackmore mansion.” The words slip out really fast and at first I struggle to look Logan in the eyes but after a moment I do, my gaze hard and chilling to the bone.

"Are you having fun rolling around in dirt?" Ah this is the Aragorn I know. Words laced with a iciness to them. I don't enjoy the dirt, but what else is there for me? I'm not welcomed in the Blackmore house anymore. The Birch house isn't for me either. Plus learning to live without the wealth and its privileges could be beneficial if I were to be in the games. The minor insult flung my way doesn't surprise me in the none. If all he's here to do is insult me well far as I'm concerned, Aragorn can get the fuck out of my sight. "Go to hell Aragorn." My self control won't last much longer. I'm surprised we haven't begun to throw fists considering how much we loath one another. Imagining Aragorn in my situation is amusing. If I were to challenge him to live like this would he do it? Probably not. He acts so high and mighty. A spoiled brat for lack of a better description.

"Being homeless suits you." Normally that would set off my short fuse I have with him, but fighting here wouldn't do me any good just yet. Once I find out his real intent for being that's when some of his teeth will be missing. The thought of him living like this keeps growing. Maybe being homeless does suit me. I've always been a outcast in the family. At least being on the street I don't have worry about some tyrant like Aragorn. Still his words spark my barely contained fury. I ready myself for a fight when his next words catch me off guard. "Look the deal is. Look I am just going to say and lets get this straight- I don't want this, don't want you to come home but this is what she would have wanted, okay? Come home. Come back to the Blackmore mansion." He's messing with me. That's my final conclusion. I still remember quite clearly how he wanted me out. I'm a burden to him at least in his eyes.

"Bullshit. Who put you up to this? Surely not anyone else in that shithole you call home. You're doing this for mother?" I take a deep breath. I'm not finished with him. Much as I want to fight with him some part of me believes him. That he wants me back in the house probably means he wants to protect the Blackmore name more so than doing me a favor. "I can only imagine what it would be like back under your roof. Same old crap. Being put down every chance you get. Why should I come back when you clearly despise the very idea of it?" The only reason I'm considering the proposal is because of mother. Its nice to know even though she's gone that her love for me is still very much alive in some form. Even if it is coming from the normally emotionless bastard that is Aragorn.

"Bullshit. Who put you up to this? Surely not anyone else in that shithole you call home. You're doing this for mother?” As soon as words begun to spill from his lips I regretted the choice of coming here with good intentions. It was a mistake. What had I been thinking? There was no way on earth Logan would think I was here because I wanted him back home because their was no way I could convince him because that was utter bullshit. I Roll my eyes at the boy, my lips culling back into a scowl. Why couldn't he just say yes and get over it? Did he really want to live in his own shit? fucking idiot, I think to myself as I clasp my hands together tightly between my knees, what an idiot. "I can only imagine what it would be like back under your roof. Same old crap. Being put down every chance you get. Why should I come back when you clearly despise the very idea of it?"

Why should be come back? That was a question that I had no answer to because there really was no reason, no reason but from the fact that he would have a fucking roof over his head food at his fingers tips and some people who could actually tolerate him. It wasn't like I breathed down his fucking neck stopping him from doing things. the only time I actually interact with him is when he begins to stir trouble, and he gets what he is asking for because I am boss. “Why the fuck do you think I am doing this? I already told you. For Mother. And no one put me up to this? Do you think things have changed just because you decided to leave? No one tells me to do a fuming thing.” I snarl at him, my eyes narrowing as I speak.

I wasn't going to beg him to come home if that was what he was looking for. Me just begin here was something that was totally out of character for me so if he thought that I was going to get on my hands and knees and beg him to return and tell him that I was going to lay off and that he was going to be the new boss he was wrong and I should just leave. I was a patient guy, I liked to think, but whenever I was around Logan I struggled with controlling my anger, each and every time. It was like he had a magnet, one that drew out y anger in ways that I could not contain and I hated it because I was a composed guy. I was respect because I was good at hiding what I do.

“Look I am not going to fuckin beg you. It is a simple answer: You coming or not?” I stare at him hard, climbing to my feet so that I was looking down at the other boy making my dominance clear. “If you are coming get up now, if not go fucking roll in some more filth because I think you missed a spot,” I gesture with my hand to his cheek, one of the very few places which were actually not covered in slime, “right there.”

My arm falls to my side, my eyes still staring at the boy who shared my blood. “Well I don't have all fucking night! Make up your bloody choice- and stop crying and weeping and woe is me. That shit is old. You are a grown man, act like one. Life is hard, life is a bitch so toughen up princess.” I spit once again, my hands snaking to my hips my lips curling up in a twisted smile once again. How could mum be proud of this.

"Why the fuck do you think I am doing this? I already told you. For Mother. And no one put me up to this? Do you think things have changed just because you decided to leave? No one tells me to do a fuming thing." Every time words come out of his mouth I just want to beat the crap out of him. We're always clashing in some way whether its words or fists. I'm grateful for my mom's love for this rare bit of kindness from Aragorn, but to think I want to live under his roof again sickens me. I'd rather live in the dirt over him treating me like I'm undeserving of life. I don't want to be considered a Blackmore anymore. The thought of answering to anyone but myself sickens me. Still being clean again would feel extremely nice. The struggle of fighting with Aragorn versus the desire of being clean again only furthers the war inside my head. I don't want to give Aragorn the satisfaction of knowing I want to go back.

"Look I am not going to fucking beg you. It is a simple answer: You coming or not?" I'd love to tell him no, but living like this just isn't my ideal version of living. The struggle of telling that I do want go home is becoming a little easier to admit to myself. "If you are coming get up now, if not go fucking roll in some more filth..." The rest I tune out. I'm too angry with myself and with him to speak. I reluctantly get up. To speak the words of coming will only ruin me coming home. Whether he mocks me or not I don't care, but I refuse to admit that I want to be in the house again. I'm deathly terrified of being found by Milo or one of her many cousins. In another world, I would seek out Eirwen, but if I even tried to make a move on her well the Blackmores would have their first death in the family.

Well damn me. That, right there, must have been the best brotherly advice that I had ever given, ever. It was not like me to be so caring. Because that was caring, you may see that as me being a total jerk but you are wrong because that right there was the most love that anyone was ever going to receive from me. It made me sick you know, thinking that I had just blabbered on so nicely, so civilly with the boy who made me want to tear my own throat out and feed it to the dogs. Yuck. Yuck yuck yuck. Suddenly i have the urge to douse myself in water, to clean away the advice that slipped from my lips because it was totally unacceptable.

But i am stopped as the boy covered in grime climbs to his feet. He had decided it seems to look like. He was coming home. I raise both my eye brows, allowing them to arch high in question. Well well well this was a very unexpected turn of events. If I were to be totally honest I was almost positive that Logan was going to reject my offer and stay hiding with the rest of his spices in the piles of rubbish that he bowed called his home. I remembered all so very clearly the night he had walked out. He had the same walk as father, one that was as clear as day an indicator that his design was finally. Dad, you see, had held onto his decision never once coming home to visit the people, the children who were his own blood and bones. Bt I couldn't care less about that man because I knew just how disgusted he was by me. He had wanted children that were going to turn out to be little angles, who trained hard and trained only. But mother had different plans. It took a while for him to see, to see just how much she had lost her mind and I guess it was to late for him to try and help her so he ran- just like Logan had.

So seeing him now, standing tall and ready to follow me to the place that he would call home- the thought made me want to retch- surprised me. But I hide my surprise well curling my lips up into a smile that was only meant to be painted onto the face of a cocky little shit. “Well, well, well- what do we have hear,” my voice is taunting as I cross my ams in front of me and lean back to stare at the boy, my eyes dancing from his toes to his eyes. “Well this is something you don't see everyday- the do running back home tail in between his legs.

Lets get this worthless piece of shit home them, cause you obviously need a shower, i mean you don't have to be a rocket scientist to see that you are an utter disgrace.” I was taking it to far, but I couldn't handle it. I knew i had to stop, i mean I had just convinced him to com back home. Mother would have been proud of me. If only I could bite me tongue. “Oh, by the way, when you left I accidentally let some stray cats into your room. That shat everywhere and it smells like a shit hole. Better get that cleaned up.” I give Logan a long linger smile. Ahh it was just so great to make him feel like shit, the pleasure that came from it was just something that I couldn't contain- even the anger was addicting. It was strange because I hated his guts, but yet I actually wanted him home. I messed it, you know. I missed getting any chance I could to bash that pretty little nose into a mess, or to raise my voice and loose control. Only with Logan could I do that- loose control.

"Well this is something you don't see everyday- the do running back home tail in between his legs." I will not give in to my rage. I've been insulted by him for so long now. Knowing Aragorn the insults will continue to fly my way once I'm back home. Only my utter disgust for the dirt is bringing me home. If I had any other option I'd gladly take it in a heartbeat. If I get the chance to, I will gladly leave his house again. I'm not happy about his being here offering me the chance to go back. I've lost my pride and need to get it back. Someday I will make Aragorn pay for every insult he throws at me. He'll learn the true meaning of torture. For now I must play nice. I must play the part of a whipped dog if he's to believe my plan. Heck I would love to burn the house to the ground and see how they live in the dirt.

"I mean you don't have to be a rocket scientist to see that you are an utter disgrace." Oh how wrong Aragorn is. He's the utter disgrace. Just because he is head of the house it gives him some sort of power. Always bragging about how the Blackmores are the best. If we're the best why haven't we volunteered to be in the games? Those Birches may have died last games, but they showed no fear in volunteering. One of them got two kills while the other made it further than probably any one of us could have. It sickens me to hear the bragging without any proof to show of it. If he proclaims we're the best well I would like to see some proof for once not endless bragging.

"Oh, by the way, when you left I accidentally let some stray cats into your room. They shat everywhere and it smells like a shit hole. Better get that cleaned up." Perhaps retaliating with one insult wouldn't hurt much. After all I'm not like the other Blackmores. I'm not under his control and never will be. "Oh you mean you and the rest of the Blackmores went in there? I'm used to walking around that." Oh how I cant wait to hear his reaction. Classic Aragorn will throw insults. How I'm lucky to be offered back into his house and all of the other utter bullshit. Still it will be hilarious to hear those words out of his mouth.

I was just so happy. I was angry too, angry that he had agreed to easily, angry that it had not even been a struggle, but so happy that I had my toy back. Of course I hide this from the boy, my eyes as cold as steal, my face stony and only showing emotions of distaste and disgrace. I give him another smell, my face screwing up in disgust as I catch a sift of sweat and the shit that he had been sleeping in for god knows how long. I was happy, I was angry and by far I was disgusted in how low he had dropped, in how low someone from the family in which I lived in had dropped. I didn't think of the Blackmore’s to be the best because no on was better than myself, but I thought them to be able to portray themselves as civil as people who should be respected amongst society even though I wanted to spit at the feet of each and everyone of them.

Still smiling, that condescending, ice cold, smile, I turn back to face the path in which we were to walk down My feet, once again make no sound as we walk, my eye concentrated on the path that w were to take that would lead us back to ‘our’ (the idea sickened me) home. We walk in silence for only a mere moment before the boy who is Known as Logan Blackmore opens his lips, allowing words to slip from them, words that he would soon regret if I were to have it my way. "Oh you mean you and the rest of the Blackmore’s went in there? I'm used to walking around that.”

I stop, my feet no longer moving in a forward motion but pliantly firm on the ground beneath me. Somewhere within me the happiness I had felt about Logan disappears in an instant and I am no longer glad about how he makes me want to rip my own hair out. How many times had I bashed his face in for rubbing shit into the Blackmore name? Did he not understand? Ho many more times was I going to have to make that nose of his break until he got it threw his thick skull?

Turning to face Logan my smile is wiped clean off my face, my lips twitching in the corners as my patience begins to wear thin. Loose control. Loose control. loose control. I move towards him my fist catching his shirt and I lean in close, my eyes flashing as the words begin to fall from my lips like hot liquid. “Why don't you understand!? How many times do i have to fucking warn you about talking shit about our family? Do you remember? do you remember last time you did because I remember and I would love to show you?” I shake him a bit, my words as dangerous as the glint in my eyes, “I don't give a fuck anymore, live in this shitty alleyway but you will no longer have the name Blackmore, to me, and to the rest of us you will be nothing but another shit who roams the streets. Come home and I’ll let you keep the name but I will be keeping you on a short leash… and one screw up, one word that even sounds like t is rubbing shit into the name Blackmore and I will throw you to the streets. Do you understand?” I let go of his jacket, pushing him away with a degree of anger that would have frightened any normal human begin.

“Now lets go home.” I turn and walk away, not waiting to see if he follows or not, because now I couldn't give two shits, even if mum wanted it.
