Answer questions about storytelling for an essay!

Are you a storyteller?
Yes? Well I don't tell stories by mouth, more by writing. But yes.

What is your preferred method of telling stories? (I.e. fiction, roleplay, prose, verbal, poetry, etc.)
Fiction, prose. Definitely.

What do you like about storytelling?
The ability to speak my mind in ways that people will probably mis-read; the ways I can break things and put them back together to be better, tougher and stronger than they would ever have been before. Plus, the experience of writing a whole new world is amazing, and if it's done right it's something to be proud of.

Do you think poetry can be used as a medium for telling stories? How do you think this should work?
Yes. It's done in a more concise way - like there is no time to ramble on and on the way I tend to in writing. If anything is unnecessary to the atmosphere of the story, it goes - which doesn't leave much room for maneuvering, to be honest. Poetry is very to the point, and every single word should have a deeper meaning in your attempt try to explain what you're trying to say.

Do you prefer stories in fiction or in poetry?
I'm fine with either, but I write better fiction than I do poetry, that's for sure.
