I'm so happy Sonja made it out of the bloodbath alive. She didn't believe me when I told her she is strong. Her preparation leading up to the arena surely built confidence in her. I told her exactly what she didn't want to hear. Sonja is perfectly capable of winning. I would have been cowering under my bed whereas she accepted her fate. I'm weak, but Sonja is so much more than anything I will ever be. The next day Sonja and her allies fought these mutts. As if they could take down Sonja. Watching her has giving me more courage than anything I've done for myself. Kind of silly seeing as the day she had been reaped was the first time ever meeting her. A complete stranger, yet she's giving me something to feel good about. I've been beating myself up over Mik's death. Not stepping up to meet him at all.
Day three tested my faith. Sonja and her allies ran right into the career pack. I remember being so nervous that my eyes were burning from not looking away when the fight ended. The tribute from eleven brutally severing the head off someone. The very sight of that made me want to run and hide. Only for Sonja did I look long enough to make sure she made it out. Before I could take my eyes off the screen another mutt attacked her. Thankfully the other tribute from eleven toke down that mutt like nothing. There's no way I can thank them, but I want to. For now they're safe. I hope Sonja is seeing things my way. That she isn't weak like she initially believed. I owe Sonja's life to the tributes from eleven. They have helped her stay alive.
Day five tore my heart to pieces. Sonja in the feast had me worrying about every move. If my eyes were burning during the fight with the careers well my eyes were full of tears by the end. Sonja escaping the clutches of death once more. If I could tell her she was wrong, I would have. She would probably refuse to believe my words again, but too bad. What I see on the screen now stuns me. Sonja and one of her allies are fighting one another. What could have caused that to happen? Doesn't matter to me because Sonja is killed. Seeing her lifeless body has me yelling at the top of my lungs. Potato Earnest is the name of her killer. Its a name I will never forget. If he comes to this district, he will pay for what he's done. I will not let him get away with killing her. Watch out Earnest. You're mine.
