Nettie Copper -District 3- done

She used to be a very outgoing child that everybody loved in the neighbourhood. She was talking to everyone, even when her mother told her to not bother others. But everything changed since the event. If you meet her now, those adjectives would be the last you'd think. Saying that Nettie is a shy person is definitely an understatement. She barely speak to anyone, even those who known her for many years. She is having trust issues and can barely answer questions asked by her teachers. You won’t even notice she's there. She just wants to be forgotten. She is having trust issues, due to her past experiences.

Nettie is very claustrophobic and is overly anxious. People that are too hard on her will trigger panic attacks, which can happen for no particular reason. The brunette doesn't care what others think of her, and has no particular opinion on others, except wondering if they'll bring her to her doom. Some people tried to pick on her, as she was an easy target. But they soon stopped as she didn't respond to them, thus making her an uninteresting bullying victim. She eats alone and cry at night, trying to forget what happened to her family. She also barely eats since the event. Not that her status would give her plenty of food, but she still eats less than others in the same environment as her.

At least, she is really smart and even has the highest grades in her class. She knows everything about Panem's history and is excelling in engineering and district related domains. At first, the teachers were cheering the young girl, but after several explanation, they finally understood that it was helping no one. She is very resourceful and would create incredible things. But honestly, what Nettie is really hoping is to be 19 years old and to work alone, just to past this horrible period of her life and hoping not to die. And if her name was to be picked up, she would die, she knows it. Because she is unable to make an ally or to have sponsors’ favors.

She was born from Processa and Tech Copper, two very talented engineers loved by their peers. Well, that's what Nettie believed, since no one would like to speak badly about them after what happened... The teenager grew up in an average house, not in need. They had plenty of food, well more than what Nettie can currently access. Life was very jolly for Nettie, and she wishes so hard that nothing changed.

It happened when she was nine years old. It was a normal day, nothing really happened at school and she was coming home to see her little brother. He was only a few weeks old. She waved at her friends when they separated and run the distance. She always ran, because she wanted to hold her baby brother as soon as possible. She loved him so much. When Nettie arrived, the house was upside down. Papers on the floor, furnitures broken, blood next to her father, dead on the floor. And a silence that still resonates in the teenager's head in the present. When she entered her room, where the crib was, stains were on the handle. Blood stains. The brunette opened the door and saw her mother lifeless and a missing Tech Junior. She grabbed some knife and cut right through her mattress and hid there for days, fearing the return of the Peacekeepers. They say it was 4, but it was a blur for the girl. She held her tears during all that time and would've probably died there if boys didn't played a ball game, broke a glass and entered the place to retrieve it. The mess was cleaned. People knew the Coppers were not there anymore, but they thought Nettie was gone as well. They were shocked to see her alive, but she wasn't really. She was just an echo of the little Nettie.

The whispers of what the Coppers did were surrounding her, and even if she tried to ignore them, she still learned what they did. Processa and Tech tried to pirate the computers to communicate with other districts. Just to have information from others. They succeeded and joined some district’s mayor, who later told the Capitol of the Coppers’ treason. The Peacekeepers were informed within minutes and the event happened. Nettie has no idea what happened to that mayor but he was probably rewarded.

The Peacekeeper wanted to send her to the Capitol to be an Avox, like Tech Junior. The poor baby would be raised to become a slave. But their plan was pointless. She was already scarred for life and wouldn't talk to anyone. She wasn't a threat to the Capitol. Not anymore. Nettie spent the years after that in the community home, bringing with her Processa's sweatshirt. She became introvert and lost all her friends, but she didn't care anymore. She didn't trust them anyway. And all the other children in the community home were sad for her at first, but seeing that their comfort was not changing her depression state, they just quit trying.. She tried to commit suicide at 12, the day before her first reaping. She didn't want to die in a game, but alone, with no one watching. Because her life was pointless in her opinion. But the rope broke. This made her finally accept that she was meant to live. But she cries at night to the memory of her parents.
