Crash Melancholia - The Capitol

Standing at five-feet-ten-inches, Crash usually wears the kind of platform heels that make them appear at least three inches taller. Lithe and slender, and moving with graceful ease, Crash makes their presence known first by the virtue of sheer beauty, supplied by a surgeon's technique wherever nature fell short of perfection. Crash's hair of silver fades in hue to platinum white with a few streaks of palest pink, and is often worn in intricate braids or an elegant updo. Arresting looking eyes which are also silver and are almost always fairly heavily made gaze from a fair and pretty face with full lips.

Presently, Crash has their ears pierced, along with a piercing in the right eyebrow and another in their lower lip (there are other piercings, but those can't be seen without them disrobing.) Flamboyant or bold makeup accentuates Crash's lovely visage. When it comes to clothes, Crash is usually wearing the most dramatic of the new current styles, more often female designs but also male and seems very androgynous. Their hands are long-fingered and thin, the nails usually at least an inch long, and painted.

Outwardly, there couldn't be a more outgoing and dramatic person than Crash, though inwardly they still battle an almost crippling shyness from childhood days, forcing themselves to interact with others and put on an act of being at ease doing so. With a persona as flamboyant as their clothes, Crash commands attention and seems to likes to 'steal the stage'. People observing Crash would find the young Capitol beauty to come across as both charming and insincere in that particular Capitol way.

Inside, though, Crash is a passionate person, caring deeply about whatever they involve themselves in, at least until it bores them, and then Crash is on to their next interest; Crash does get bored easily. A quick temper masked by a pleasant demeanor has worked to Crash's disadvantage more than once, and once the catty and sarcastic comments start, they often don't know when to stop, or else they don't much care. Crash is pansexual and has had numerous meaningless flings but has yet to find love or have a serious relationship. Part of this may be blamed on the fact that Crash has difficulty trusting anyone.

Another less than attractive quality of Crash's personality is their absolute assuredness of the deservedness of their extreme good fortune, as if it is their due. Sometimes, too, they can be plain old bratty, stubbornly demanding and complaining until they get their own way. Having little patience with people who are not worth their time, Crash can seem to be cruel at times, though it also seems as if Crash's bad behavior may stem from a secret insecurity. Lastly, Crash has recently become fascinated with the Hunger Games.

Born into one of Panem's wealthiest families, Crash is the only child of Marisola and Enriq Melancholia. Self-absorbed and no less easily bored than their offspring, Crash's parents left that child's upbringing in the hands of a series of nannies and tutors. Crash had everything material a child could desire, though there was a definite lack of love and assurance from parents too wrapped up in their own lives to care much. Once Crash had reached puberty, they adopted an attitude of 'I do what I want.' No one other than some easily dismissible servants ever really demanded anything else of Crash.

Growing up as intersex and bigender, Crash really never suffered much from insecurity due to this factor, accepting it as just one more thing they could eventually correct with surgery if it ever bothered them, but it hasn't. Crash has many acquaintances and no close friends. Allowed to be a spoiled rich child, Crash has grown into the role enthusiastically. The only thing Crash really excels at is music, both playing several instruments and singing, all of which seemed to flow from natural talent more than having to work very hard at it, and as a result, Crash is becoming somewhat of a celebrity themselves, and is often in demand to perform at the lavish parties of the Capitol.

Because they grew up without much love, Crash has found it thus far impossible to love anyone else, though they are aware of the existence of that emotion; Crash is secretly a closet romantic and desperately wants to fall in love and be swept away. As this keeps not occurring, Crash is slowly growing a little bitter. Crash has no employment other than music, and lives in their own suite in the parental mansion. Still they are denied nothing that they desire, and receive a very generous allowance beside.
