Playing with Fire (Matthew/Ky)

That shape. The figure in the midst of the fading light, surrounded by nothing but majestic colors of orange and hues of pink and purple ends up being the one person I want. At the very last second that we can, I hasten my steps to get to him sooner, and we're wrapping our arms around each other. This kind of greeting lifts my spirits up so much to the point that my heart seems to want to beat right out of my chest. The hug and the kiss that seems to last forever, feels so nice to me. After what happened last week with telling Matthew the news and then this week being complete hell on me, having him to hold now is going to be worth it, totally.

"I told you I'm coming this weekend. You said you aren't around before seven pm so I spent some time at Vy's." I drop my head a little bit to glare at him in a hilarious way. My question already coming out with my expression in full. 'Why are you at Vy's?' is what I want to ask, but I decline the need to. They both are at the academy, so it must be work related or something. The smile on his face is too much to wanna break it. The last time I had talked to him, he was having a bad day at the academy, but I had no clue what had happened. By the looks of it, everything was fine now.

"Been too long, Matthew..." I complain, not wanting to seperate from the hug and physical contact that he's providing me. Though, he does and looks me up and down. A shy grin comes to my face as he does so. That's when I do catch him as well. The uniform makes him look really, really good.

"I'm... we're doing well. A lot of beauty sleep this week. Just so tired." I tell him with a shrug. I'm guessing that being super tired and needing sleep is part of this. There's a lot of new things happening since I found out. A few more symptoms that are coming out.

"and I'm going to say it Matthew, but you look damn sexy in that uniform." The grin on my face now is making my cheeks red because I feel embarressed to say that. The uniform does suit him very well and it makes me proud that he's keeping with the program. He takes my hand and he turns my current direction around and to go back to the house. A simple statement makes me nod.

"Red in the sky is the sailors delight... or some saying like that, right?" I ask him. I've heard several variations of the saying, so I wait for him to correct me on it. As we walk, hand in hand, he leans in to kiss me on the cheek. I swear I can get used to that. If only he were here during the week to keep it up and going. That would be nice. Before we reach the front door, Matthew stops me under the porch to pull me into his arms.

"I'm more excited about seeing you I bet!" I challenge him as he kisses me on the nose, of all places. Immediately, I bust out laughing because it just seems a little silly. With a shake of my head, I connect my hands around his back, keeping him stuck where I stand. "Hmmm. Matthew. Your sense of direction is off. That was my nose you kissed. These... are my lips." I stand on my tippy toes and reach up to him to take his lips and show him where the kiss was suppose to be. With a smile, I pull out of the hug, taking my arms from around him and enter the house. Silence still reigns surpreme, while small noises can be heard upstairs and I identify them as my brother's snores still.

"He's been asleep since he got here earlier. Do they wear you out that much at the academy?" I'm kinda curious what's been going on at the academy. As my words of curiousity come out, I direct Matthew to sit on the couch by pointing to it. "Sit, Matthew. Take a load off. You deserve it." I tell him while stilll getting that look of him in a uniform to play in my mind.

"You know... coming home in a uniform is dangerous. You'll be coveted by all the girls. Luckily, your mine." I state with a teasing tone. "Do you want something to drink or anything. Hungry? Got the house to ourselves tonight. He's out with that lady again..."

"It's good to have the old Ky back." He tells me. I give him a warm smile, but what he says does make me wonder how bad off I've been lately. Maybe, it's all getting better? The nightmares and the news on the little one that's growing. Things are changing, yes, that's for a definately positive. Maybe, I've started to accept the way things are turning out?

Giving Matthew compliments on his attire has a dire consequence. Apparently, someone's already trying to have their hands on him, whether or not I know the person or not. Just knowing that someone is making moves on my guy is definately having this weird sensation.

"Why were you even at Vy's?" I question. Not in an accusing tone, just a rather curious one as my eyebrows life slightly. I play with his words. Even if Brittany knew that he had a girlfriend and she still continues to go after him, I wonder if she even knew who his girlfriend was. "Did you mention who your girlfriend was? I'm sure, she would have quit if she knew it was me. Afterall, I do releive her of her grandmotherly duties and stuff to help her out. If I find out that she ever tries again..." I'm sure my tone has changed suddenly, and I stop talking to keep myself from regretting anymore words that come out. It's not Matthew, I'm blaming, but rather just her. That bitch better be careful next time I see her to pick up Brookie. She'll get a sound lashing from me.

I head into the kitchen to go get Matthew a glass of water, garnished with a straw and everything. He even had supper already, which makes me wonder if Vy's mother had something to do with him staying for food. A sigh escapes me. "Well, I"ve not eaten yet. So, I guess you'll just have to suffer with watching me fix something amazing and more extravagant than Mac and cheese." I tease him.

"No. I'm really not. I thought he would be home today cause of Jeran, right? Nope. He's still away. So, it was just going to be me and Jeran tonight. It's good becasue it's been so long since I've seen him." I comment.

"Come here." He asks, motioning to the space beside him and I take it without question or hesitation, snuggling up next to him.

"I feel better." I say, reguarding to last week when I was upset about the whole issue with telling Matthew. Not that I've not been so stressed this week. "Eating. Yes." I shake my head, smiling and laying my head on his shoulder. He reaches for my hand and he fingers the skin around the spots that used to be marred with scars and sores. I've not trained in so long, so it's amazing what a little bit of down time has done.

The topic changes to something else though. The baby that's growing a bit each day. He still can't beleive that it's happening. Nor can I, but I've gotten used to the idea as much as it's still new to me. "I have an appointment on monday to see someone. Kinda nervous. Wish you were going to be there with me. Surely, my dad will take me though, if anything. You know?" I absent mindedly place my other hand on my stomach as I talk about the little one. I"ve barely noticed any kind of change in my stomach, but I feel like something is different already.

"I had a bit of time to think about it this week. I really want to be there for you and...him...or her." I give him a nod. He keeps saying that since I told him. His views havn't changed as of yet. The support system he's giving me by those words are easing me into this just as much as the thought of helping myself if I had to. To have him around as this baby grows up would be wonderful. Something that most children probably don't get. Poor Brooklyn... I regrettably think about her not having a father.

"You know... him... or her. She'll have the best dad. You know? Having a strong father figure around will shape him... or her. Give her a sense of belonging. I wish I could know already if it was a girl or boy. I'm so curious. I think you need a little girl. Karma... right?" I pause a moment and just relax against Matthew. "As long as the baby is healthy, I don't care. I just want the little sprout to be able to have two parents..."

I sigh just a little bit. For three silent breaths, I close my eyes and snuggle further into Matthew, drawing my legs up to become more comfortable. Something he said earlier, suddenly pops into my head though. A devious little smile appearing as I look up to him with a devilish grin.

"So... you said it yourself." I say out of the blue. I give a dramatic pause for a moment before continueing. "You're uniform is goign to cause me a lot of problems. You know that right? Might as well, peel you out of it now... to save you any more problems with the ladies. You think?" I lean up to him, and the hand that was previously on my stomach goes to his face to turn him into my direction. I place a gentle kiss on his lips then pull away and stand from the couch.

"Sure could use some more rest... up in my room... better to shut the door. It'll block out the sound of my brother's annoying snoring while I'm up there." I tease Matthew so much with my words. Slowly, I head over to the stairs and start to ascend them, but stopping halfway back as I wait to see if he got the hint that I was referring to. "You coming?" I ask, and finish going upstairs. "You've never seen my room, have you, Matthew?"

Two parents. Two equal portions of love from either parent to share. One parent to teach one thing. Another parent to teach another. As long as my baby has both, I know that their chances of growing up knowing that love is surrounding them is going to be enough for me. I'm not sure what's going to happen between me and Matthew, but if he stays in the baby's life the whole time, I couldn't complain. Having him by my side though? That would be a bonus. I just don't know how it's going to work with the academy and the whole issue with him becoming a peacekeeper. What dangers could occur if he stayed under the captial's wing and stayed with me? What could happen then?

"That's what I want to give you and the kid." That sounds like a dream. Let's hope I never have to wake up after this then. Maybe I can find a way to keep it hidden as well, yet keep him close. If only...

With changing emotions, so does the next little scene that I create for him. It's almost a way to get back what we used to have. I've never had an issue turning him on before, so I know exactly how to tease with him. He can't refuse the bait as I watch him stand up slowly and follow me up the stairs. The moment we're in my room, I give him a cheeky smile. I watch him as he looks around the room so casually, his eyes searching for something that I can't figure out for what. Not until he mentions it, of course.

"Well, picture or no picture, you're always on my mind...." I watch him close the door before he gets a little closer to me, asking me what we are doing in my room. I shake my head at his plight. Now whose teasing who?

"Figured I'd give you the royal tour. I've never brought you up here before... dunno what you saw that one time you were here... when Jeran brought you here? Let me show you around." I walk over to him, take his hand and walk backwards, giving him a brief tour of the furtiture. "The dresser... nightstand... the bed." I point to each one with my eyes. Slowly, I lift my arms up to connect my fingers behind his neck. I pull him closer to me and let my lips touch his softly.

"I want this... always." I whisper out and walk backwards to the bed, sitting down on it, hoping to pull him along with me. When he lays with me, I can't help but to ask one thing of him. "Will you stay here with me tonight?"

"Great tour guide? Of course... you listening skills are to be matched well with others so interested in hearing what I have to say." I nod to him though, when I tell him that I want him to stay with me tonight. I would wanting nothing more. I've slept in his bed a few times. I've stayed with him in his grandfathers place several times. He's yet to stay at my own place and I don't think I'd take no for an answer even if he tells me no. I have my ways to keep him here and it's working so far. Enough that he stays above me, pinning my hands above my head. I'm under his mercy now. A rather pleasurable smile appears on my lips that won't seem to fade.

"I will always let you. I don't think you'll be able to leave me, not tonight. Might have to be stuck in my room all night... just in case Jeran wakes up. I'll just have to hide you in my closet." I tease him and lean up with my upper body as able as I am with him pinning my arms to take a quick peck on the lips. He brings his head down to my own, his cheek against my own as I feel his teeth barely nipping on my ear, eliciting a small sound from me before he starts to move elsewhere. The feelings are so sensual and even as he keeps kissing, my eyes begin to close to get aquainted with this familiar feeling.

"I have no clue anymore. Trouble is trouble... I like trouble." I state as he lets go of one of my hands, but I don't let it go anywhere. His hand though trails down my body and he puts his hand on my exposed stomach. I'm curious only for a split second before I realize he's trying to see if he can feel the baby. I grin heavily and take in deep breaths with the excited nature he's putting me in.

"When I'm with you everything becomes right. I don't know how you do it but you do." I shrug from where I lay. He always mentions that, but I honestly couldn't say for myself why I put him at ease. Maybe because I'm patient with him? Overlook his flaws others might hate? Deep within him, I know who he really is and that's what I end up loving about him.

"Maybe because you showed me how to?" I say right before his hand travels south, bringing out a small sound of anticipated pleasures to come. "Just wait, Matthew." I say, taking my free hand to put up to his neck and gently run my hand down his cheek and to his chin. My hand rests there then I lure him closer to me. "Just lay with me." I say to him, taking the initiative to start undoing the top of his suit, and slowly lower it from his shoulders to expose the undershirt underneath.

"We have all the time in the world tonight... but I just want your arms around me, please?" I ask him. "Besides, it's chilly already. Need you to warm me up." I smile at him seductively. With the top of his uniform down to his waist, I wrap my arm back around his neck to pull him closer on top of me; to cover me with his protection. Tonight will be free from fear. Free from any hurtful words that my father will say.

A sudden burst of a snore suddenly puts a big smile on my face, followed by a small chuckle. "I swear... Matthew, make that noise disappear!"

Stopping him right before his hands reach a certain spot is unnerving. For some reason, I feel at this particular moment it's not right just yet. Laying with him, and cuddling seems to be what I want when only moments ago, I wanted more. As I stated, there is all night for everything else, but I've missed him terribly. I want this weekend to be perfect for us. So, instead, he lays beside me after ridding himself of his uniform top and wrapping his arms around me. It feels perfect this way. This new feeling with him. Something is different having him in my bed that I want to savor instead of getting busy and heading off to slumber. I want to be able to keep this in my mind for the next week whole.

"I can do that." At least he doesn't have any objections. As I lay with him, my arms do wrap around his neck again, this time I'm not sure if I want to go further or just enjoy some light teasing and touching with him again. He even comments that I'm confusing him which only brings out a heavy smile for him.

"Sorry... so much I want from you, but I don't know where to start." I claim. He kisses my shoulder and suggests that if I want to be warmer, that I should be naked like that one time in the cabin where we survived just because we trusted each other. This is like that time, I feel. I'm trusting him. He's trusting me. "Maybe we should?"

I pull my top off and lay back with him yet again as his lips start to massage my own. His tongue enters my mouth and we battle for dominence, yet playfully keep with the pace. Time ticks away slowly for me, enjoying every second of time I can with him, while my fingers expertly move across his neck with designs like I always do. I've mapped out his entire neck. I know where his ear starts and where his hairline does. I feel every bump and bone. I don't have to visually see him to know where to move my fingers. It's just instinct anymore.

Everything that is happening between us slows down. He removes his lips from my own and I look up into his caring eyes to see that he has questions that he wants to ask. My index finger moves in unison with my thumb to gently stroke his ear, and rub back and forth. "Everything is fine now. Just a bit of a stressful week. The only relief is with you."

His fingers move against my hair, and I close my eyes becasue I can feel the strands being straightened and it feels so calming. Each stroke sends my heartrate to a lower beat, calming and throwing me into this state of mind where I could easily sigh and fall asleep. "The academy called me earlier this week to ask about Jeran. I didn't know why, so I just took the call as it came. I thought we were in trouble at first or Jeran was. They've arrested someone I was close to when I was a kid. I still don't know if they've just got her in a cell or if she's..."

I can't say that I think she's dead. After all of the fear of thinking about it, it just don't seem right to ask Jeran about it. He hasn't said anything about it and I don't want to myself. That trickle of fear is still there. "Do you think... when you go back to the academy, you can find out if she's.. okay? Her name is Charolette Solo... or Charlie." I tell him. "... that name of the instructor you told me about. O'rouke? What does he do at the school?"

Talking about what happened to Jeran and Charlie is a bit upsetting. Not that I'd let it show to Matthew, but I'm sure he can hear the concern in my voice. It's there, without a hitch. If it wasn't, I wouldn't have brought up the name or the situation. Of course, Matthew gets a little defenceful about it because I know how he hates when I don't tell him something that might concern him. Then again, his name was never brought up about it until I started putting two and two together. His instructors name was the same name of the guy who called me and right before I got to talk to Jeran for less than a minute before being called off to the interrogation room. That alone is what scares me. How it all fits together like a puzzle and I'm left trying to put it all together blindly.

"I didn't really peice it together until after you called me. When you told me his name. The familiarity triggered my memory, but it wasn't something that I needed to call and disturb you about. Figured I'd just ask over the weekend. O'rouke was the one that called me on the phone. He was the one that sent for Jeran to be interrogated. I'm worried for my old friend." I lay it down straight for him, telling him of my fears and concerns. It's not much to fuss over, I just want to know if she's okay. I want to know if she's still alive. Maybe something had happened and she was dead by now? Or sent off to the capital or executed?

I try to think of why they sent an interrogator after MAtthew to push him to pass the skills and intelligence parts of the test; especially the physical. I know he was hurt and stuff, so I can only wonder how far he's really pushing Matthew. Did Matthew have to interrogate Charlie, too? "Just don't let him push you too far, okay?" I'm worried about his health.

Only about that time that the conversation slows down, he begins to take advantage of our positions again and his hand trail downward to my skirt and he's pulling them down without hesitation, but at a slow speed. I raise myself up to give him the better advantage to ridding myself of the material as I go for his belt and buttons as well, ever so casually, I've been ridden of the skirt and I tug on his pants as well, so that they may leave him and we become equals.

"I'm getting colder, Matthew..." I tease him, putting my lower lip out slightly, hoping he'll get the hint. My hands goes to remove the immacuately clean, white shirt and as it leaves his chest, my hands find his skin and my fingers trail against his chest to the marks that marr his skin. Each time I see them, it brings back the past. It brings up feelings and emotions and memories. Thinks that can never be taken away. Then my hands circle around him as I pull him toward me and turn my body until he's laying with his back against the blankets. I sit on his person, straddling his hips as I reach for a hand and gently press it to my stomach.

"It's natural... right? all of this? Me and you... the situation? It's safe..." I tell him, nodding to him to get his approval. "Don't let me go..."
