"I take it out for practice, so I don't get rusty." He says while I swing it around a little. "I haven't used it on a human opponent since the Career Training Center."
The last part makes me stop and raise a brow at him.
"You were a career?" I try to recallwhether I migth have seen him there when I first joined at the age of 12 but I can't recall. He didn't look familiar, probably because he trained here on the other side of the district.
"Did you ever fight in the pregames? With this?" I make another graceful move before I hand the sword back to him and take the extremely light shield.
"True...verus...isn't that what it means? Pretty light. I think your dads would suit me better." I agree with him and also hand the shield back remembering vividly our first exercise.
"Now it all makes sense...the shield as a weapon."
I smile and run my fingers through my wet hair before I sit down on his chair and take one more look around at the immaculate bed. Most likely he keeps it like this due to military drill.
I yawn a little because the warm shower has gotten me a little tired and then stretch my arms over my head.
"You have a nice place here. It's a real home. Not like most of the ones I've seen. My place is pretty old...not this nice and tidy. It's only me and my dad there."
If my dad wasn't such a macho maybe my sister or even my mother would still be around. Sometimes I think that would be nice. I haven't seen Trinity in years and my mother I can barely remember.
The thought puts a little damper on my good mood.
"It would be nice to have something like this." I muse a little lost in thoughts.
"maybe one day I can afford to buy a house."
