Goshdarnit. My head hurts.
Eden cursed to himself as he walked down the street towards home. He'd had a migraine all day that had pounded and hammered on the doors of his mind until he was ready to rage quit life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
They might have something in there...
Eden yanked open the glass and scuffed metal door of a nearby convenience store, then just barely cleared his head without having to hunch or bend over.
Huh. That's not common. Maybe I should shop here more often.
Everything was in a jumbled mess. He wasn't quite sure where he might find some infernal pain medication. He knew he wouldn't have any at home.
Probably would be a good thing to stock up on.
After being greeted warmly, and nervously, by a sales clerk who asked him to excuse the mess, since they were rearranging everything for customers to have an easier time shopping in the future. He smiled warmly, pushing down his annoyance and said, "Thanks. I'm looking for the pain medication?"
"Oh!" she said quickly. "It should be over here somewhere... I'm sorry!"
He laughed on the inside. "It's all right," he murmured on the outside.
