Lady Medusa was the reason to why I was here right now. I didn't want to be here because I didn't understand why I had to be here. I wanted to be home, in the place that was familiar, the place that I knew. I hated new things, new things made my skin crawl, made my heart race and made my already anxious self ever so more anxious. She knew that but I sometimes wandered what she really thought f me. She was my mother but did a mother treat their son the way she treated me?
They said I could leave the room and I didn't want to leave my room because my room was safe but then I didn't want to stay in my room because it was dark and my mind wandered and then he was there telling me how weak and worthless I was and I couldn't handle that so I left, my old black robe hugging my body tight. Others looked at me, they pointed and heard them giggle because the clothing I wore was not something that was common. It was something that was comfortable though. I felt safe in the way the black material fell to just below my knees, the dress hugging me around the torso, the sleeves climbing all the way down my thin pale arms.
now my feet guide me across the sands that District four is famous for and I look out into the dark surging liquid. I wandered what it was like to be surrounded by the water, to have it circling your body, seeping into your pores and it made my stomach hurt because I didn't want to think about it, it scared the shit out of me so instead I sit down, placing my lanky body down on the solid sand, safe from the unpredictable waters.
"Can I go home yet?" I sigh allowed, resting my wearing head on my knees, my arms hugging my legs tightly.
