Claude holds the position as Mr Stanford's right-hand man with an indulgent pride. As casting director, it's his clean-shaven and cold-smiling face which greets the Studios’ new arrivals. As one of the few who understands the true source of much of the Studios' income, he and his wife Alice take care of legitimising the drug money. However, the couple seem to handle all their responsibilities effortlessly, and Claude uses his free time to terrify the fresh meat of Temple Studios, getting them lost in its dark and winding corridors, inviting them to its elite private parties only to shut them down, and arranging elaborate initiation ceremonies, taking pleasure in how the young actors react. Frankie's cocky optimism intrigued Claude, and he sees it as his personal mission to break the spirit of this particularly determined specimen. However, no one - not even Frankie - seems to notice the hot, furtive glances that Claude gives the younger boy when he's carrying out a task for them, or the way he slips his wedding ring into his pocket before going to see Frankie alone...
I can see him pulling elaborate ruses to get under peoples' skins, and there would even be times when he tries to drive Alice away. Fame is not what he wanted, famous was an overdressed way of saying stalked. Claude wants to be infamous, and yet he wants his reputation to be only good. A fake name hides him from the consequences while the tricks he pulls gives him a sense of joy. No one knows that it isn't simply to scare the newest recruits, but instead to impose his own sick power over them. He wants to be the boogie man, the ghost in the closet, the monster under the bed. Claude wants to be feared, without anyone knowing who it even is they fear.
Except for Frankie. Frankie was the one who he wanted both to break and to savour. The stubborn, free-willed boy was like a young stallion to Claude - his beauty in his freedom matched only by his need to be broken. Rebellion was not a good thing in this business, and Frankie's spirit would have to be tamed. Claude meant to ride that stallion, and the only way to do that was to break him first or geld him. Unless he could train Frankie to mind him, then maybe a saddle would be an easy fit. One way or another, he would have that ride.
This is a WIP, but yeah it's up now Onyx. I'll try to translate this into something soon I think.
