C A M I L L E B L A C K M O R E My life between day and night change a lot. During the day I am Camille Blackmore. I am a good student, always on time. I am part of the Blackmore family, there is nothing I can’t do. There are a lot of Blackmore’s around, we dominate. The only problem is the Birch family. Like every family we have feuds, and ours is the Birch family. A family that sent so many kids in the games. A family full of killers. What people don’t know is that during the night, small streets and alleys become Blackmore territory. I might seem sweet, I might seem like the good girl, but if you have ever seen what I can do, the pretty grey eyes and blond hair belong to a monster not a girl. I spilled blood of many, and my mouth has tasted human flesh and can’t get enough. At the moment, it’s day time. Light covers panem, and I just got out of school. With an old leather bag on my side to carry books, I made my way out of school towards the center, to do some shopping before training starts. Like all Blackmores I am a career, waiting for the day to go to the arena, and show what I am made of. To the people that know me from school and from the training center I am a mystery. I am seem to be sweet and loving, though I beat everyone, during training. No one ever seems to get me straight. My personality is a knot that you just can’t seem to untie. My family can, they know who I am, but to everyone else, good luck. My blond hair is tied up into a high ponytail that swings back and forth as I walk along the stone streets. My grey eyes examining the people along the streets. A girl that I know from school waved to me as I headed into the shops, to look around. I had a little money with me, but I didn’t find anything that caught my eye. It was 3 in the afternoon, and if I skipped training I would have to answer to my siblings, who I didn’t want to deal with. I didn’t want to go today, I was just lazy. It’s hard to be perfect especially if you are the most imperfect person in the world. It’s hard to be silent when you are a loose cannon, but oh well. Life is tuff, isn’t it? Upon exiting the shop, I gave a faint smile to the shop keeper, just to make sure that my reputation stays alive. I couldn’t afford for people to even think for the slightest bit that I am not a good girl. I could never let my mask drop, because if it does, there goes the secret we have been working to protect for years, and there goes my life. My head turns toward the direction of the training center, where I am supposed to be, just I don’t want to. My feet feel as if they were glued to the ground by some weird force. My body is obviously telling me not to go and I take the bait. Instead I walk over to the other side of the square, the place with all the pubs and bars. Sure it is a bit early to go to one, with it being on 3:30. Then again, a midday drink can’t hurt, now can it? I pushed open the door, to be greeted by a small, empty room. No one else but the bartender and me where there. As I walked in he looked at me, with a misjudged face “What are you doing here so early miss?” I shrugged with my shoulder and gave him a weak smile. “Got nothing better to do.” template by chelsey |
