JAY KREARNS
district four tribute
"Protect Mason and watch yourself." Those were Davy's last words to Jay. Those were the words that haunted Jay everyday of his life. Jay failed one of those requests already. Would Davy not accept him if he dies? Jay had let Mason die just like Davy had. He didn't save him. He couldn't save his life like he wanted to. He was too weak, but now, now he was strong. He could fight for himself. He found his reason to live. He found his way of life. He was now testing himself for Mason's sake. It was always his brothers that were the most important to him. No one else could compare, well maybe Miles, but he never compared to Mason or Davy.
Jay's performance on stage, volunteering and creating a new him was enjoyable. Jay wasn't much of a guy to care about things, but siblings are one thing that gets to him. He was ready though. There was no doubt about it. Jay was going to go and try and be the best he can be. Jay had the training of a career. He could be safe, he could fight and protect himself. Jay's eyes watched as he entered the Justice Building. The color of the white walls grabbing his attention. It was beautiful. It reminded him of the sand at the beach. The soft sand that Jay would most likely never touch again. The feeling of the ocean breeze hitting his face. Some people would never want to leave this place, but Jay wanted to. The memories were vibrant there. The screams of his oldest brother echo there inside of Jay's head. The moving of the boat out into the sea, carrying Mason's body. Jay just wanted it to stop.
The room that Jay was put in was quite comfortable. There were couches and cushioned chairs. Jay took a seat in a chair that was cushioned. He was born for a reason, everyone is. Jay's reason was to go into the games and prove that the Krearns aren't all just weaklings who get killed in the bloodbath. Jay was prepared to do all it takes to survive and cause as much chaos as he could. Jay wanted revenge for his brother. There was a aching feeling he felt, when he heard the door creak open. Jay's eyes averted to the door. IT was time to say goodbye. The hardest thing to say to family. Jay was going to say goodbye maybe for a week or maybe forever. Jay knew this and was already prepared for if he died. He'd give Miles the Surf Shack, just so it would still be running, even if he was gone. Jay's goodbye was coming and it tears him up to have to say it, but he had to. He was the tribute and he was going to try and survive. Goodbye Mason and Davy, it's my turn to go sailing with fate.
