JAY KREARNS
district four tribute
Little kids feared the reaping. Jay was one of those little kids once. He was young and scared about people having to fight to the death to stay alive. The kids that went in always in the district's hearts even if only one of them came back. That was the hard part of the 67th. Leon and Siren were fighting to see who would come back home. The district was in a bit of turmoil. There were always people who would rather have one or the other. Jay's family would rather him come home than Zelphyr, while Zelphyr's family would want her to come back. It was all about opinions. Jay's one goal in living in District 4 was to keep the young ones safe. We couldn't let any end up like poor Learna Libertine who was a young one who was reaped. Jay couldn't live with it. That was his reason for saving that kid's life in the reaping. It wasn't that the guy was young, but the little boy who was running to his brother. He couldn't let that boy suffer.
Jay was heading towards some of the more survival stations. Fire making, Plants, First Aid, Trapping. Jay didn't know what to choose to go to. He scanned the area looking for other people. If he couldn't decide, maybe he can meet some of his allies or foes. Jay's eyes scanned and scanned, until he noticed a smaller girl. He recognized her right away, the District 10 girl. One of the youngest tributes in the 68th. Jay felt his heart clench in sorrow. He felt bad. He was always going on about saving little kids and trying his best to save the younger ones from the cruel world of Panem. Jay just looked down at the floor. His mind in a rush. She was so young, just as young as some of the tributes in the 68th. Jay couldn't save them all. In a week, he'd have to fight the little girl and maybe even kill her. There was nothing he could do. Jay walked up to her. A smile plastered on his face. He spoke, "Hey, aren't you the District 10 female?" Jay kept his fake smile on his face, but all he wanted to do was hug her and tell her everything was going to be okay. Though he couldn't do that. He couldn't look weak to others. Jay was strong and if he had to, he'd fight against the little girl.
