What gives you the will every morning to get out of bed and be a productive member of society when the one who used to do that is gone? You sick it up and you deal with it because loss is part of life, something you've learned to deal woth as part of your training to become a peace keeper. Wjether it's the strict schedule you've placed yourself onto or the blatent refusal to ever be as weak as yoi werw right after Ares died, somethig keeps you going towards that chance for redemption.
One, two, one two Your small fists beat the bag before you, the image of your brothers death driving every hit as you allow your anger to flow through you and to find refuge within the bag. It's been almost two years now since he died and you have grown up so much. No longer arw you te ruthless single minded career you used to be, instead you have become a lethal killing machine whose moves are precise and fueled by a deep down hatered for the people who robbed you of such an important person.
You wipe sweat from your brow, taking a quick drink of your water before you begin your routine which includes fifty push ups and sit ups, two sets of twenty squats, three laps around the half mile track and half an hour doing hard core yoga to keep up your flexibility. You weren't the athlete you are today before Ares died, after that, everythig changed. Something drove you towarda the vengence that had been out of reach before but not anymore.
As you were finishing up your routine, you heard footsteps behind you and wondered who it was that could be training this early as it was only nine am if the wall clock was to be believed. You turned to see who it was.
