cut the tension with a sword (blitz A_Million_arrows)

"Finish him!" "That a way Xander!" His fellow careers cheered as he faced off with his opponent. Ryin Tokonami was an older career nearly reaching his final age for reaping. He too was a very good swordsman, however, he was no where close to being selected by the committee to be the one to volunteer. Xander could understand why of course simply from this fight. Although he was very powerful with his moves he was very ignorant to watching his open points leaving him nothing compared to Xander. With no last laugh Xander sprung forward with his well know speed and delivered the final blow against Ryin's armor sending him sprawling onto the ground. With a smirk he lifted his sword in victory and turned his back to his defeated opponent. Yet again he had proven that he was the best master swordsman that there ever was and would ever be.

With the fight concluded Xander made his way to the locker room. Typically he would challenge some others but today he felt like hunting. Of course not illegally outside the fence but instead killing off some minor and weaker animals here inside the district. He made haste to change and leave even before the others even arrived. Of course none of his trainers stopped him, he was of course their star pupil. If he could even be considered a pupil any longer. He already knew that the committee would select him to volunteer when the time came. With a ghastly grin he silently stalked a small bird with his sword drawn. He knew he wouldn't have to worry about PeaceKeepers this close to the fence since they never are patrolling here. With a swift slash he beheaded the bird and watched its blood go dancing into the air. With a laugh he spun his sword in his hand but swiftly turned around as he felt it slice something.

Sure enough some idiotic girl with black hair and weird red highlights was standing behind him. He also noticed the very light scratch he had given her right arm. He rolled his eyes annoyed, "Are you stupid? Don't you know to never get to close to a sword? You are lucky it only skimmed your arm instead of slicing your neck." With a sigh of annoyance he stuck his sword lightly into the ground and leaned against it. Whoever this girl was better have a good reason to be interrupting him right.
