Name: Cassada Serene KA-SA-DA SER-ENN
Age: 15 yrs old
Gender: Female
District: District 4
Appearance:
Her slim and athletic frame is tanned to a deep golden-brown. Her sandy hair flows from her scalp to her waist and at the end, her hair is curled ever so lightly, and is dyed a light azure. Long, black lashes frame her striking cerulean eyes, and her eyebrows are arched in a sexy way. Her light salmon lips always appear to be chapped, and her long arms end with slender fingers. Her face is a bit sharp, with high cheekbones. She always carries a slight grin, so vague, that most people don't see that tiny smile with no teeth. So, many people mistake her to be fussy, or lofty. But that is not the case.
She is of average height, nearing the end of 5 feet, and is a bit light, consisting of about 125 pounds! Nonetheless, she is muscular, but certainly not the bulky type. She is more lithe and slim. She has fierce scars on the back of her hands from playing with knives as a child. Her tapered fingers end with nails that are a fresh ocean blue, and when you near her, you can smell the fragrance of the salty ocean. She prefers tattered jeans with a sky blue t shirt. She wears sandals and often, a denim jacket. She also wears a shell necklace that her mother gave her.
Personality:
Cassada is warm and kind to her friends, and wins over people with her endearing sarcasm and her wicked sense of humor. However, she is frosty to those who are unfamiliar, proving a rough start. Nonetheless, she is loyal and usually stays with her friends for a long time. She is not at all shy, being boisterous, especially when she downs a couple of cups of vodka. :-) She laughs with her friends, cries with her friends, drinks with her friends, etc. She is a bit ambitious, pushing herself to her limit. When she does that, she can be a little, no, a lot prickly and her true friends know when to leave her be. So, she is intelligent, a bit over the average. She is not a prodigy however, and does not want to be! Her exterior may be a perfect friend, but her interior is... another story.
She is usually at home, burying her nose in a book. As you may know, she is not actually reading a book. She is covering her tears and sobs. For her mother and father. Her friends, brother, and the water is the only things that can coax her out of her greif, and she sometimes go without food for a whole week! Her friends, however, try not to notice her sunken cheeks and the bags under her eyes. Usually, she recovers, but the cycle goes again. As you can see, her interior is severely shattered. She never tries to pick up the pieces, much less repair it! Her boisterous exterior might only be a cloak to hide her feelings. Perhaps when she shows frostiness to a stranger, is that the curtain fraying a bit?
She is very secretive, but who can blame her for that? She falters when someone questions about her life, and lashes out. Poor Cassada, everytime she closes her eyes she awakens with her body covered in sweat, her lungs heaving, and her fingers clenched. She always makes sure never to drink too much, for it might drug her and she might awaken to find out that she sang like a bird. Even her friends can't wriggle past her friendly side. If she swims (she is a natural) it feels like all her worries had washed away, and the worst part about swimming was when she went out of the water, and felt so heavy, as if all her worries had doubled and placed on her shoulders. Life was so unfair.
History:
She was born into a small, cozy family. They did well for a while, her mother preparing food and her father fishing and trading. They adopted an older brother for Cassada to play with. Then, her mother contacted a mysterious and fatal disease. She soon died, and her father was very, very sad. He fell into a deep depression, so deep, that even Cassada could not coax him out. Eventually, her father starved himself to death, leaving behind Cassada and her brother with shattered, broken hearts.
In the midst of her sadness, Cassada fell into a deep, but temporary depression. Her brother calmed her down, helped her, but she still bears the invisible scars that never seem to heal. Her parents' death had to remain a secret, for at that time, they weren't old enough to take care of themselves. So, they locked the doors and closed the shutters and only went outside to trade, to buy, and to fish. Everything went well, for a long time.
When Cassada was old enough to take care of herself, her brother decided to part with her. He bulit a fish hut near a massive lake. Even though her house was close by, Cassada couldn't help feeling a little, empty spot in her heart. She had lost so much things, so much love. Its hard to believe she is still alive, because in their reclusive years, everyone presumed they did suicide, or escaped from the borders of District 4. But now, despite of her shattered past, she lives a normal life, but the reaping calls to her....
Her brother, Marinis, will come with her as guardian for the reaping.
