    Diar's eyes could pierce even the darkest hour of the night. The pupils that were painted perfect center on his orbs were small and dark, not completely unlike the void of space, and the lacy irises that accented the pair of circles were a stunning hazel nut brown. Pads of shadow danced under his almond lids, a show of greys and blacks. Maybe he shouldn't get into as many fights as he did, but one could only pretend to care for so long. 
    Genetics were a quite a feat for this kid. He bared generally short hair which was a deep brown and beautifully accented light caramel skin. Akin to his parents or not, he looked nothing like them. Sputters of freckles camped along his cheeks, trailing down his shoulders and into the curved crevices of his back. His appearance frequently earned him names, such as giraffe, throughout his childhood. The poor boy didn't care, though, for he had been raised not to think much of other's words. 
    Diar, who sometimes went by his last name, had the frame of a runner. Lanky legs and a short abdomen gave him advantage in his younger years, always five steps ahead of his friends, but now that he had grown quite a bit, he thought it to be of no use to him. He was still lean, though, weighing only 130 lbs (58 kg) and rising to a 5'11" (180 cm) height. He didn't care much for food, after all.


Personality:

    Diar never found much interest in friendship. Why would he ever need someone else when he had the endless constraints of his mind? But over the years, despite his tedious efforts of trying to keep himself isolated, he ended up coming across a young lad who went by the name Garnye and would later become his best friend. Even after his realisation of companionship, Diar wasn't very open about himself. A vast amount of his free time was dedicated to scrawling in a leather-bound notebook, still hoping to do something with his talent of art but knowing that it was next to impossible.
    Anytime that Diar wasn't huddled in his room writing, he could be found milling about the district with a blank expression poised upon his face. Almost always lost in thought, Diar was viewed as a peculiar child by many. What was he thinking about? Aside from his spaced-out demenor, the blonde boy can be extremely focused if the situational standards call for him to be so. Calm yet agressive, sharp yet dull he always told himself. How else could he manage to survive into adulthood if he weren't three steps ahead of everyone else?
    Diar didn't speak much- he was always taught that children were to be seen not heard- and not many knew the sound of his voice. Contrary to his dark and off-putting personality, his voice is very soft and delicate. If one hadn't blatantly seen him before- and even then there was some confusion- he could almost had mistaken for a female. He wouldn't mind that though. Gender identity had never been much of an issue and if anything, he identified as agender. Mostly, though, he kept anything pertaining to such low-key for if any had found out, some horrid occurrences could arise. 


History:

    Diar was raised only by his mother. She was kind to everyone but him, blaming the poor boy for his father's disappearance, and this was part of the reason he was so quiet. She whispered sweet nothings in his ear and then shouted at him as if her love was nonexistent. He paid no attention to her words though, for if he did he would surely have something in reply. Pain was bad for his concentration and he would have none of it.
    As he grew older, he came across a man named Garnye Tyler. He'd never really had a friend before, for aforementioned reasons, but he had certainly never met anyone like this kid. In rash decision, he decided to give him a chance and before long, he had found himself attracted to him. How could he let himself grow so soft? Days and days passed, Diar scolding himself for his deficiency, until he finally accepted that it was human nature to fall in love. He never said anything, though, for it was taboo to be as such and he didn't feel like ruining their current relationship.
   Everything continued to flow as usual, though; the sun kept shining and the wind kept blowing. However, not even a month after his 15th birthday, Diar's mother died due to illness. He wasn't as sad as he should've been and he didn't even care to attend the old wretch's funeral. Much worse happenings were occurring in his mind and he knew that before long he would be sent to the orphanage. In pitiful attempt to keep himself from such a horror, he begged Garnye, who was 22 now, to become his guardian. Garnye complied, but on one condition; Diar could never know what he did for a living. From that point on, Diar would keep his promise and never vie to find out. But as all curious little boys are, he would always want to know and would never feel any different, even to his very last breath.
