And her ally fell from rocks.

It's a scream, one that rattles your bones, strikes the strings of your core and plays your heart like a fiddle. And then it's a crash, a horrifying, bloody, painful crash. And what's worse is that, strolling casually behind it's brother of chaos and confusion is something equally as threatening.

Equally as terrifying.

Equally as dangerous.

Silence. 

Because when the rocks stop moving and the creatures stop moving and the tributes stop moving that's all there is. Silence. And it reaches through the dirty television that sits in our living room, choking me with tendrils, sending sweat beads down my forehead. Caesar's voice cuts through it like a knife, fake concern riddling his sentences, clinging to his words.

"And it looks like that cannon marks the death of District Six tribute Tauankia Ojai."

There's a girl with hair like fire. Galaxy Rose-Clements. And she's the one i've focused on the most since the universe fell and dragged her ally with it, because there's something about the way she fights, about the way she survives, about the way she cried that interests me. The camera makes it's home on her, huddled inside the Cornucopia, bathing herself with tears, and the snake that's approaching. 

There's silence now, save for a single hiss. 

I read a fairytale about an evil snake that attacked a kingdom once, you know.

And I can't help but look at that girl, the one with hair like fire and tears that contain the universe as guarding the one true thing she has left.

Her freedom, her kingdom.
