The games have been pretty eventful so far, and I have to admit, the arena looked scary itself without all the blood and guts. This year our tributes had gotten pretty far and I was honestly rooting for them like any other person would root for their own district. Though our reign had come to an end. Though the gender of the victor was decided, it still has yet to be determined. District Five, or Six. I guess they're both alright, I'm not sure what to think about them so far, though. The finale was pretty intense yet boring at the same time as nothing is really happening. They're barely getting a single hit on each other.
As I watch, I am careful to listen for the sound of footsteps or the creaking of the doors we own. Lily was more than ever urgent to see what the games were like, and I was honestly scared to let her see what it was like. The games involve killing, and Lily's brain is still too innocent to see that. Its been getting harder and harder to prevent her from seeing the games, but we've managed to do it a lot recently. As I was starting to tune out, I heard something. The pattering of feet coming to the door. They seemed to be trying to be quiet, as each time a board squeaked the approaching person had hesitated a minute before continuing.
That was most of the time Lily, and my guess was right as I was peering over to the door as the brown eyes appeared from it as she was opening the door. I stood up and ran over to the door immediately, blocking her view from the screen.
"You know you aren't going to be watching the games any time soon, right?" I spoke, looking at her with a raised eyebrow.
