Trent: "Hello? Is this thing on?"

tap tap tap.

Trent: "Okay. It's on. So what are the stupid questions I have to answer for this?"

Papers are heard being shifted in the background.

Trent: "Couldn't I write my answers down on the paper? There's enough room on the paper and on the back of the paper. It would also be easier to get in the long run."

Someone sighs. Murmuring takes place.

Unknown: "No."

Another sigh occurs.

Trent: "Fine."

Birth to Age 3

Trent: "Hmmm... Trying to remember what happened to yourself when you couldn't even walk is like trying being reaped at age 12. It's near impossible. Well, except for that one quell where only children aged 12-14 years old get reaped. I would have had a much higher chance if I had taken place in that. I would have done much better than whoever our District Male representative did. He didn't even make it past day one. What a loser."

Snap Snap

Unknown: "Kid. We don't care what happened before. We want to know about you."

Trent: "Oh yeah! Sorry about that. What did happen when from ages birth to 3? My mom gave birth to me. Haha. Sorry. Please stop glaring at me. I really don't have much memory from this time period of life. I do remember photos, though. If given the chance, my mom would bring out all the photos of me as a baby. Those were the good old baby days, back when I had absolutely no responsibilities except to be cute. Then again, I didn't have much hair as I do know. My brown, luscious hair.

"Through the pictures, I found out that I was a really fat, chubby potato. Most babies are, but I was an exceptionally chubby potato. If you took one, blew it up to the size of a baby, it would literally be me. Literally. My mom loved me, though. She always mentions how cute I am. She never says that when she's using potatoes, though. That always confused me. Why is one cuter than the other? When did I become cuter than potatoes? Answer me that. PLEASE STOP GIVING ME THOSE LOOKS. I'm just making this more fun.

"Slowly and eventually, I became less of a potato and more of a...um... more less of a potato. Do you want to see some pictures? I could run back to my place really quick and... no? Fine. You're missing out on some really weird, cool looking potatoes. On second thought, no you're not. Anyways. I didn't do that much because, well, I was a potato. You don't like me calling my young self a potato? I can tell it in y'all's eyes. Too bad, suckers. I'm sorry. Please don't yell at me. Nothing else happened. I swear."

Age 3 to Age 6

Trent: "Wait! Can we go back to the first bit? I forgot to add something."

Annoyed sigh in the background

Unknown: "Fine!"

Trent: "Wait. Never mind. My bad."

Something thumps on the table

Trent: "Sorry! I'm sorry! I'll get on with it. So yeah. Ages 3-6. Fun time. I was alive. Why're you giving me that look again! I'm sorry, jeez. Y'all need to learn how to loosen up. Sorry. I didn't really have much to do because i couldn't do much in the first place. That's a lie. I wasn't able to much until about age 3. I guess I could start doing stuff around this time. My parents thought I was adorable. Maybe it was because my hair started to grow. Sadly, it didn't instantly became what it was now. It was a mess of thin, scraggly tuft. You don't believe me? I can still show you pictures! HOLY CRAP, FINE. I am SORRY. Also, I didn't tell you this, but my eyes originally were dark brown. Now, as you can see, they're hazel. My parents said the change happened around this time. Fun fact.

"So what did I do? I enjoyed what every 3 year old did in District 2. I enjoyed hitting stuff with my fake sword. I hit everything from the furniture to my parents to my siblings. Oh! My siblings! I have two of them. Both of them older than me. A guy and another guy. Two brothers. Both older. I've already said that. We're really tight. I love them to death. Did you know they're both careers? I'm going to be just like them! I already am, but better."

Unknown: Kid, can you please, for the love of ripred, stay focused.

Trent: "What? Oh. I thought it would be important. My apologies. Hitting stuff a lot. Yeah. It was a good time. My parents thought it would be best to send me to a special daycare that encouraged that type of behavior. A special one that would later help me become as aggressive as I am now. True story. I was with other 3-5 year olds that were similar to me. We all liked to hit stuff. We'd hit each other a lot and get into "fights" or what not. Of course we couldn't use actual weapons, but it would have been great to. Natural selection, am I right? No? Fine.

"I went to that daycare thing from ages 3-5. It was fun. I enjoyed myself. Made a couple of battle buddies. Fought with them constantly, so I assumed we were friends. Age 5 came around, and I got to go to school. I had to adapt to the stupid rules. I couldn't hit whoever I wanted. However, they turned a blind eye a lot. I mean it's District 2. We were a career district. Why wouldn't they want us to fight? We are number 1! When it comes to training. Better than stupid 1 and 4, that's for sure. What? Is it because i dissed that one kid from a while ago? SO what? Sue me. No, please Don't actually do that. I don't have any money.

"So yeah. Lots of whacking stuff and bruises happened. Fun times. Didn't like the school part because learning is stupid. What's the point of learning anything but fighting? It's not going to be useful. I mean I'm either going to get reaped or volunteer, and in the games I'm either going to win or die trying (which I doubt will happen). After I win, I won't need a job because I'll be rich as hell. That's my plan in life. Has been since I was 5. I'm gonna be the best there ever was, like no one else ever was. Sadly, I nearly failed out a lot. But who cares? I managed to pass everything.

"Age 6 was the same as age 5. School, fighting, boring classes. There was a fight club that I joined, though. It was my favorite after school activity. It was open to anyone in the school, and I signed right up. I sadly didn't know about this when I was 5, but it doesn't matter. I was stupid then, but then I grew up. It was every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for an hour. We would warm up, fight, and cool down. It kinda worked like a tournament. Everyone fought to move higher in the standings, and then every so often we would be bracketed based on our standings. I always got to at least the final 16 every time. Impressive for a 6 year old, right? i don't know how many people were there, but I'm sure there was more than 16 people total.

"Now that I think about it, I'm not entirely sure I was supposed to talk about fight club. I think there was a rule about it, but I'm brain farting so hard."

Laughs

Trent: "Y'all need to lighten up. That was funny. Whatever.

Mumbling

Unknown: "You know we heard that, right?"

Trent: "Crap, I'm so sorry! Please don't tell anyone else I said that. I'm sorry. Anyways..."

Age 6 to Age 9

Trent: "Why is this broken up so weirdly? Why can't I just talk about my life from point birth to point now? It would still be just as efficient if not better. Just saying.

"Anyways, age 6, y'all already know what happened. Fight club and all that. Um, age 7 now? I guess nothing much changed. More fight club, got better, got stronger, et cetera. Now that's the only good thing about speaking. i don't know how to actually spell that, and I also don't know the acronym for that. Nothing really happened that stood out to me. I really am trying to remember, but nothing's popping up.

"Age 8, though. I had an amazing birthday party that year. Got some training dummies and some other training supplies for future career training. That was really exciting because I had always had to use the crappy equipment that others gave to me. Not sure where they got it from, but I hated using it. I hate using stuff that other people have used before me. It feels like I'm getting all their germs and it feels dirty. Whereas if I have my own equipment, I know what has happened to it because I keep track of my things, and it only has my germs on it. No one else's.

"I also finally got into the top 8. Technically it happened by default because neither of the competitors that I was supposed to face could actually make it to the next round. They beat each other up pretty badly. So badly that they couldn't continue. Then I lost in the final 8. Improvement, though. I still tell people I made it to the final 8 by myself because it sounds better. Y'all aren't gonna tell anyone, right? Please don't.

"So after 8 is 9. Why is 6 afraid of 7? Because people from 7 are psychotic. Also, 7 ate 9. Ha! Get it? I'm sorry. I know I have a problem. Get used to it. Sorry. I enjoyed being 9. I got to actually start training. At least that's what my parents said. Deep down, i knew I could start training earlier, but my parents knew I'd be too good for my own good. Of course, I'm still too good for my own good, but not the kids aren't as wimpy as before, so it'll be better. I was so excited! I began my career as a career. Ha, did you see that? i did it again! I made another pun! I'm sorry! It's hard for me to make puns. They take too much brain power. I'd like to see you make two so quickly.

"Again, I got better at fight club as well. I really need to stop talking about it. That, or you guys need to not talk about it either. Maybe I'll need to kill you. Please don't actually take that seriously. We all know I can't. I actually made it to the top 8 by myself. I won all of my games up until that point. It was great! But sadly I fought against the number 1 seed at the time and lost. I think I could have gotten further if I had went against anyone else. But oh well. The training definitely helped. I learned how to properly hit people with sticks and hands and swords and every other type of weapon. I had so much fun! I still have fun now! I can't wait to go into the games and make my skills useful. I hate not being able to fully unleash my potential. Like I feel like we should have something else during the rest of the year to suffice our thirsts. I wouldn't mind killing someone. I guess training will do. So, uh, yeah. I had fun. It was fun."

Age 9 to Age 13

Trent: "Why do I have to start at 9? I just told you about it. There's literally no point. I'll start at 10 because it makes more sense. I don't get you people sometimes. Just kidding, I don't get you people ever. Damn adults. Good thing I'm not gonna be one because I'll either die in the games or become famous. So suck it. Sorry, please don't hit me. Or yell at me. 10, though. Stuff happened. Interesting, I know. But what did I do?"

A long silent pause with a cough towards the end.

Trent: "I got nothing. I legit got nothing. Um, more training? More Fight Club? Final 8? More training? I already said that. I feel like I'm repeating myself now. I honestly can't think of anything else that's impactful that happened between ages 9 and 10. I mean I had my 10th birthday. That's something. Oh! I just remembered my favorite present of all! I got a baby brother! I mean I didn't find out on my birthday. I found out that year, though. I was gonna be an older brother! I was pumped. Never had I ever had a sibling before. Now I could have someone I could beat up! I mean train. Train, not beat up. But I had to wait to do that. I still have to because he's about 10 years younger than me sadly, so that makes him 3 currently. I can't wait for him to grow up. He needs to hurry up.

"So a year later and we realized my brother had some weird deficiency. Something to do with not getting enough vitamin D? I don't know. I just know he had to sit in the sun forever, which I found annoying, especially when it was my turn to watch him. I hate waiting and doing nothing. I also had to keep an eye on him because my parents probably would have hurt me if I left him unattended. That's another reason why I can't wait for him to grow up. I won't have to take care of him. He'll be big enough to do that himself. He did get better, though so that was nice. I didn't have to leave him in the sun and watch him for forever.

"Also at 11, I was super excited because it meant one more year until i had a chance of getting reaped! I'm still super excited to get reaped. I really want to volunteer and be remembered as one of the best.. no, THE best career any Capitolite or citizen of Panem has ever saw. I don't really care about winning. I just want to be remembered. I mean, I guess winning would be a great way to be remembered, and I'm sure I can do it, but I know being remembered as the people's favorite would be amazing.

"Then I turned 12 and I couldn't sleep that reaping night. Holy crap was I excited. I knew the odds of me actually getting reaped were low, but my heart and brain stuck on the small chance that I did have. I tossed and turned all night, waiting for the next day to happen. All day up to the reaping, I was bouncing off the walls. Calming myself was out of the option, so I just fidgeted all day when I wasn't walking or eating or doing anything. Obviously I wasn't reaped, and as soon as I realized I wasn't, I crashed. All the energy left my body. As soon as I got back home, I fell onto my bed, nice clothes still on, and instantly fell asleep. It was a nice, long sleep and I felt really refreshed, even though I woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't fall back asleep. Now I gotta wait until the next reaping. I really really hope I get in this year. It seems like to be in it. AND if I do win, I think I'd be the youngest person from District 2 to win! I'll have to get back to y'all on that, but I'm fairly certain. I know I'll be tied as the youngest tribute from District 2, though.

But yeah. That's it. Anything else you guys need to know about myself?"

Papers are heard being shifted in the background.

Unknown: "No, were' good. Thank you for your time."

Trent: "Sweet! I'll see y'all hopefully never!"

Chairs scrape the floor and someone turns off the microphone.
