If there was one thing you could live without, what would it be? I asked myself that question so many times. I never seem to be able to let go of anything. I need my family, my friends, and the piles of “junk” in my bedroom. Mom and dad, always tell me how good my life is. I am not forced into career training, like the rest of the district. Yet we are not poor and suffering like district 12. Mom and dad are just way to generous, they are always helping the homeless, and if wanderers come, they help them too. I only got there appearance. Slightly darker skin, then most people. I have my mom’s silver eyes. She always says those eyes are the eyes of kindness. All I can say to that is “yeah, right”. I’m not a mean person, though I am not the nicest. Sarcasm just happens to be my first language, and most people take my comments the wrong way. The only one who really seems to be able to keep up with me, is Kevin. We pretty much grew up together, and once a year he comes by and helps me organize my “junk”. We will sit there for hours, laughing and talking. We don’t really get anything done, and my room stays a mess. We also happen to be the biggest procrastinators on this planet. I have no idea how long we have been saying, will finish it next year. I manage, it isn’t hard. Sure there are papers everywhere, and you don’t really know what you are stepping on. But I manage, and mom and dad don’t seem to care enough about me. They rather take care of the homeless than their own daughter.
