Waiting on Ratteira to scope the house was always a little nerve wracking at least, since he was nearly eighty inches of awkward and probably would've been more of a risk than a help. Instead he sat parked on the left side of the house where Ratteira left him cross-legged under a window. All he really did was stress-eat on the lawn grass at his feet in the mean time, trying to stay as well out of view as he could.

From behind a trash can Ratteira stuck her hand up and Garrett spit the grass out of his mouth hurried before crouching over to her, the tip of his back almost hitting against the windows still. "It's clear." The words were jackpot, of course, and he cracked since it'd probably be interpreted better than some happy throat noises.

"Back door. You ready?"

'Of course' would've been his immediate response but instead all that came out were the same gurgle and a nod of the head while he crouched besides Ratteira, just let her lead. Garrett wasn't a master thief by any stretch, petty at best, but he'd always back up a friend.

Of course, he swallowed down the grass he hadn't spit out already.

A familiar click hit the air before Garrett followed Ratteira into the house blindly. He trusted his partner's word that the house was empty, but he could take the fact that his footsteps were the only audible noise in the entire house. For a split second, he was tempted to convince somebody to help take the table he saw in what he guessed to be the dinning room, but instead became mesmerized with a cactus in the corner until Ratteira mentioned something. Garrett looked up wide-eyed, guilty of completely missing whatever she had said.

"Also, wash your hands! You're gonna leave grass all over the place."

He felt a little offended as he looked between the back and palms of his hands, me? Making a mess? At the same time he was the man eating grass five minutes ago, so it'd probably be better to follow Ratteira's word. Before turning left he made some emotionally incoherent throat noise.

It was an arch entrance into what he guessed to be the living room, considering the interior decorating. He didn't know much about interior decorating, but he saw a fishbowl sitting on the top of a bookcase which was distracting enough. There weren't much plans on what they were coming for, but Garrett guessed they didn't come to steal two goldfish; though, he was tempted at least. Instead of sticking them in his pocket he just smiled and made the same gurgle he had outside, besides he didn't have much to do anyways, just follow Ratteira's lead.

And he had been, he took the left and now he just waited for her to come back.

Garrett's fake roses fit in his shirt pocket weird, but they were more of a temporary accessory than any type of prize. Ratteira approved, at least, that the roses were better off being stolen than the fish in a simple "good, let's get outta here. I don't like the smell." Garrett hadn't really noticed the smell either, but once he did he couldn't wonder if that was the reminisce of the family; either the round woman or the two children rough-housing.

Unlike this family, Garrett didn't have any siblings, or cousins or aunts or uncles that were remotely around his age, his mother and father were both only children too. Some type of family tradition, and that their industry was his once they were no longer fit to care for it. Ratteira didn't have any siblings either, at least Garrett didn't think so - she never talked about them at least.

The smell didn't really bother him, honestly, it was almost vintage in a way. But at the same time, he at lawn grass as a coping mechanism at most thirty minutes ago, so his opinions probably weren't as valid as Ratteira's. She began to the door before Garrett did, and in this brief period of time Garrett kissed the fishbowl goodbye before following her and making an audible gurgle of approval saying he was ready to go as well.

Once Garrett heard the door lock click back into its place he felt a shock of euphoria greeted with his new found roses, they weren't a great prize, no where near Ratteira's stashes hid in her pockets, but the personal quality certainly made it seem less of a waste of time. All he had to do was walk home now and it was successful, and if there was one thing Garrett couldn't mess up it was walking. Ratteira said something, but he couldn't hear it over his own humming, Ratts looked happy though, as far as he could tell, and that made him glad as well.

Smiling like a fool, he began back over to the garbage can they hid behind before looking back at Ratteira, just follow her lead. "So, what do you plan to do with those flowers?" He looked back down to his flowers, nearly cock-eyed as he took a whiff of fake leaves before looking back at Ratts.

Garrett sketched a heart on his chest and striking a cross through it still smiling, mostly because he had nothing else to describe how he would give them to his mother, other than to imply love. Garrett grinned with his chapped lips before leaving Ratteira and Sergio and Bruno.
