RP WITH: анзие (Anz) WORD COUNT: 452 OOC NOTES:If you have any questions about the thread at any point, just let me know either in OOC notes, or through message! | Blaire Kaplan ✫ District 3 | Female | Age 15 It was a rather calm day in District Three. Blaire Kaplan was readying herself to go outside and head to the park. She had grabbed her sketchbook, a pencil, an eraser, and a book to read. She figured that when she was done drawing, she may as well read. Unfortunately, despite being in an upper district, it didn't make it a richer district. This meant that she would be very limited on her choice of books. Today, she was reading a short story, which was one of the few bits of reading material her family actually owned. Rather than starting with her reading, she took out her sketchbook when she got to the park. Deciding to draw some of the scenery, as she often did, she flipped a few pages of her sketchbook and touched her pencil to the paper. As she was sketching some bright purple flowers that were growing to the left of her, she spotted another girl there. Never having seen her before, she wanted to talk with her, just as a bit of an introduction. The thing is, Blaire never knew what to say in these situations. Instead of saying anything like she wanted to, she just continued drawing. She had realized, after her drawing was complete, that she had forgotten to bring the few colored pencils that she owned. Closing her sketchbook, Blaire put the pencil in the spiral binding, and set it next to her. Rather than going right to reading her book like she had planned, she just sat there a moment. Blaire had gotten thinking. The girl she saw sort of reminded her of her sister that had passed away quite some time ago. Her name had been Sapphire. Blaire reached for the ruby gem on her gold necklace chain and felt it with her fingers. It had been her sister's token in the games she died in. The necklace was then given to Blaire, and she hasn't taken it off since. Of course, this girl couldn't have really reminded her of Sapphire. She just looked similar. Heck, Blaire didn't even know who the girl was. Yes, she was pretty, and yes, she looked a lot like her sister, but why had that been immediately what popped into her head. Blaire often tried to avoid thinking about her sister's death, but it was rather difficult sometimes. When she did manage to avoid thinking about it, she was much more talkative. In this case, she was rather quiet. Maybe she should talk to the girl. It would likely get her mind off of Sapphire if she could talk to the girl and see what her personality really was. After all, not many people would act like Sapphire. |
