[attr="class","anziescroll"] "It's good to see you out of there," Leon tells her without preamble, the minute they're left alone. He's not sure how long he's been waiting here - perhaps for minutes, perhaps for hours. It's been a while, that's all he can say for certain. But it doesn't matter; he's got patience. After all, Trix's train hadn't yet arrived while he was making himself comfortable in one of the rooms (the rooms where he can see ghosts - ghosts like Siren Baitwell). It took some convincing but he'd managed to coax one of the Peacekeepers to leave him alone long enough for him to catch Trix and murmur in her ear, "Meet me at the Bluefish the moment you're done here." He hadn't paused to wait for her response, but he doesn't think she's too surprised. He did say he would. (Not that he'd ever have expected to have to go through with it after it all.) Her tour has brought the newest victor into Four, and Leon was charged with entertaining her - not that he necessarily needed to. This one time Leon feels like he's in control of his own actions; he could take her out somewhere, or he didn't have to. The former was certainly highly recommended by his escort, but Leon wanted to, anyway. They have a history, and he might as well. What surprises him most is that he wants to see her - not for any selfish reasoning or faulty self-preservation instinct. No, he wants to simply because some idiotic part of him feels responsible for her. It doesn't matter that she's got Lethe Turner (and every time he looks at her he thinks of Erebus and his stupid hat) to keep her sane; Leon helped her. And his memories aren't as fresh as hers, but they're fresher than the memories of others'. Aren't they? And he wants to know how she's handling it all. It's almost... he could say brotherly, this instinct of his, which surprises him because... Trix is beautiful. And she'll always be deadly beautiful, but he's got no interest in turning that beauty into another mark on his bedpost. None at all. (It surprises him.) "Sit down and order some food. Ripred knows we deserve it." The grin he gives her is too wide and touched with bitterness that contrasts the faintly wild look in his eye. Yeah. We deserve it. | [attr="class","anzieside"] [attr="class","anziehover"] leon krigel victor of the 67th games i’ll be as honest as you’ll let me i miss your early morning company |
