Yeti -- (Ice Pillars, Evergreen Forest, Snowy Hills) When the wind picks up, and comes howling through the land it’s hardly recognisable. A mighty beast that stands at over five meters tall it is a towering monstrosity that is not to be reckoned with. A long, thick fur covers it from head to toe, a set of small beady eyes are hardly visible, but most do not tend to look long searching for its eyes, they are too quickly distracted by the two large protruding canines that hang from it’s mouth. Ice grips its chin, the drool that so often leaks past its lips frozen on its face. If you have the courage to not run you will soon find yourself facing its long sharp claws, attached to arms with the strength to uproot trees from the very ground. Do not be fooled by its size, do not be fooled by it at all, it might be the last thing you do.
55hp. Classified as large game. Not poisonous.
Lophiiformes -- (Light Field) From a distance it does not all too threatening, a lumbering figure moving about. A single light dangles from the centre of its massive head. All the reasoning in the world would not be able to explain how its massive head stays on its body. It primarily moves on all four legs, the back half of its body is hardly proportional to the front end, with two stronger front legs to support its terribly big head. However it can sometimes stand on two, generally, though, it only does so in times of danger when it wants to look threatening. It hardly needs to do so, with a face that somewhat resembles that of the anglerfish its terrifying in itself. With a large gaping mouth, and long fine teeth protruding from its maw in all directions its not the prettiest thing to gaze upon. Its eyes are hardly hidden, instead they bulge out from the sides of its head. Its claws may not be dangerous, but its teeth can sure pack a bite.
35hp. No food Classification. Not poisonous.
Charon, meaning: ferryman of the dead -- (Igloo Village, Ice Castle) In the old horror stories that you hear whispered at night they speak of their name. However, in those decrepit old books that are read to you at night they call him the pale horseman, the headless rider, they call him death. Wrapped in a tattered old cloak these beasts almost seem to float above the ground. An eerie feeling follows them. When you see the fog coming you better run, a sinister omen that greets you, warning of their in coming arrival. These beasts do not hunt alone, but in pairs. They have no face, but merely appear to be an empty cloak that moves, two thin hooks protrude from each sleeve, their only weapon. (Note: These mutts have a special ability, it is as follows: In a fight, mutt 1 and mutt 2, if you happen to kill mutt 1 you must kill mutt 2 within the next round of moves, otherwise mutt 1 will return. Thus the only way to defeat the two mutts is to kill them both and not only one.)
15hp. Special Ability. No food Classification. Not poisonous.
Lynx -- (Evergreen Forest, Ice Castle, Igloo Village) A larger, more intimidating version of the Lynx spider it was originally bred to hide in trees and catch out rebels in webs during the colder months. Designed to withstand all measures of cold weather it has adapted to these harsh conditions very well. With a long body and eight long legs it has the typical appearance of a spider, ranging from around 30cm big to 40cm they are hardly appeasing to the eye. Each one of its legs is covered in spikes, each spike having formed to its body at a young age, they are completely made of ice. These critters take on a frosted look, instead of their usual vibrant more orange coating they are a paler blue, with darker shades over their back.
10hp. No food Classification. Poisonous.
Monmonmo - (Ice Pillars, Igloo Village, Ice Castle) No one knows what this elusive muttation is supposed to look like besides the creator of the being. Rumor has it that it was created through a splicing of the DNA between a killer whale and a narwhal. Others say that it was a blue whale that had morphed into something elongated like a snake, no matter, the mutt itself was changed for the new environment, given the ability to roam on land. No longer did it lurk alone in the depths of a deep, dark lake, but it now slide along the surface of the snow, its touch hide and strong ability to adapt making it just as fearsome on land as it was in the water. Ranging three to five meters long and thicker then a tree trunk it is a beast to be feared. And some old “historians” go even so far as to say that it resembles a certain sea monster that plagued the lake water of a place far away. With sharp teeth as its primary weapon to attack it’s a fast moving beast that is to be feared.
35hp. No food classification. Not poisonous.
Ice monkeys - (throughout) A mixture of a monkey and a snow weasel, the 'ice' that is on them is actually hydroxylapatite, else known as 'bone mineral'. To create the illusion that is it ice, scientists have modified the mutt to form clear/white hydroxylapatite on its skin as its storage system, should there be minimal amounts of calcium in its bone. In old Christmas times, the monkeys would be used as Christmas tree decorations and have the monkeys twirl around and create a dance show. They were discontinued as decorations when kids would get under the tree - to get presents and dance with the animals - and the monkeys, after getting tired of hanging around all hours of the early morning, would fall off and their crystals would scratch and leave deep gashes on the children.
5 HP. No food classification. Not poisonous.

Hircusxes - (Evergreen Forest, Snowy Hills, Cornucopia) Combination of artic foxes and mountain goats, these mutt are able to withstand the cold due to their white fox-fur textured pelts (their fur is now a luxury in the Capitol). Originally bred as a way to deliver both dairy products (a majority of the mutts were female) and warmth fur coats to the Capitol at the same time, there was just one small problem. Hircusxes were noted to have a violent temper and frequently attacked handlers with their large, ebony-hued horns. They were quickly discontinued and put into zoos for Capitol entertainment post-Dark Days, and now are also used to terrorize tributes with their mean demeanor.
20 hp. Classified as large game. Not poisonous.
Hellhounds – (Throughout) Though they’re called hounds, these nasty little creations aren’t just canine. They were created for one purpose- to shred- and the jaws are all alligator, with sharp teeth and the muscles to slam their jaws closed on a piece of prey and toss it around until enough pieces fly off to kill it. The name did come from somewhere, though, and the majority of this mutt is in fact canine in origin. The creature looks like a monstrous wolf- strong fighter, enduring runner, and so dark an earthy green as to appear black. Just to add to the disturbing color factors, the eyes are more vein than sclera, turning them red. (That, like the green tinge to their fur, was actually a defect caused by trying to use such specialized alligator cells; it was originally going to be bred out, but enticed such fear in the Hounds’ prey that it quickly came to be regarded as useful.) The ears are long at birth and need to be cropped to keep from flopping dangerously close to the teeth; that trait is from the bloodhound genetics that allow the Hounds to track their prey even when it seems impossible to do so.
35 HP. No food classification. Not poisonous.
Pengull -- (Thoughout) A cross between a seagull and a penguin at first they were simply designed by a lowly mutt creator who was looking for some excitement. He’d always been fascinated by penguins, but hated the fact that they could not fly. This entire mutt was first designed, simply out of a need to see a penguin take flight, however, even though this penguin looking mutt had feathery wings it was still unable to take off from the ground. After his design was discovered it was changed, and it’s small beak was enlarged, and sharpened to a deadly and dangerous point. However, still to no avail could they give this mutt the ability to fly, instead they satisfied themselves with it’s larger, wider set body, allowing its feathery wings to sit closer to its chest, and instead of giving it flight they instead decided that it would be a bird of prey, being pierced by its beak won’t only hurt, you’ll also be poisoned.
20hp. Classified as small game. Poisonous.
Saber Tooth -- (Evergreen Forest, Cornucopia, Snowy Hills) Taking after the older legend, of the fearsome saber tooth tiger, it was as large and powerful as the name suggests. The Gamemakers, however, found this boring, it seemed as though this mutt was like most others, so instead of giving it two powerful hind legs they gave it a seals tail. It’s strong front legs were used to move it about, whilst it dragged its tail along. A beast more accustomed to water, could also survivor on land with it’s new look. The typical enlarged fangs hung from its mouth, dripping with poison as it hunts for its next prey. It’s a particularly slow moving creature, but with its razor sharp claws it’s nothing to be taken lightly, cats, after all, are the best hunters of all.
35hp. No food Classification. Poisonous.
Ghares -- (Igloo Village, Ice Pillars, Ice Castle, Light Field) These mutts are the size of an arctic hare, and just like the arctic hare they take on the rough shape of these snow dwelling creatures. From there, though, the resemblance ends. With an almost ice looking coat you cannot be fooled to think that they are soft and easy to teach. Ice coats each and every individual hair on its pelt. Its eyes gleam with a red sheen to them. You cannot see its teeth, but in its mouth are three rows of sharp, spiky teeth that drip with venom. It was originally designed to be a household pet, but was adapted to the arenas climates by giving it the icy coat and poisonous bite. Typically they like to move around in groups of two or three, knowing that hunting down food for them to eat is easier that way. They are not herbivores and prefer to eat animals smaller than themselves, and will, on occasion even take on some that are larger.
10hp. Classified as small game. Poisonous.
Hadhayosh -- (Throughout) Their diet and appearance are often misleading. Taking on the appearance of a goat they are normally gentle, timid creatures. Long, curved horns protrude from their skills, it is their only weapon against attack, however in saying this, these horns secret a deadly poison, if not treated quickly, will leave a target paralyzed, after an extended amount of time, before eventually killing them. Their fur is soft to the touch, their hooves strong, to allow them to escape predators. They were designed purely for the purpose of eating, their horns an additional defence mechanism added for the games.
35hp. Classified as Large Game. Poisonous.

Hedgelogs -- (Evergreen Forest, Cornucopia, Light Field) Originally designed to make living in the woods more difficult, Hedgelogs are rigid creatures that resemble wood thanks to being coated in the enamel of a turtle's shell. They move rather slowly using twig-like appendages that jut out from their bodies. Males generally closely resemble branches, while females appear more like logs. They are scavengers who eat anything they find laying on the ground, unless an unlucky wood scavenger picks one up. When disturbed, pores on their bodies open up and release benzoquinones (a chemical used by the Bombardier beetle) onto their "attacker," leaving highly irritating chemical burns wherever they touch. They're nocturnal and prefer forested areas.
Special Mutt, non-combat. No food classification. Poisonous. Roll range 1-7 when gathering wood, 7 means you step on one and are poisoned. This is negated if you are wearing combat boots.

Gulper -- (Throughout) They're bloodthirsty and desperate creatures, created to clear the bodies of rebel soldiers quickly (though not so cleanly) from the battlefield. It was the hyena they chose first, with sharpened fangs and increased aggression. However, the final aspect came when scientists rediscovered a shark species long thought extinct, washed up on the shores of District Four. The Goblin Shark. The retractable jaws of the shark not only interested Capitol scientists, it inspired them. They drafted the retractable jaw of the Goblin Shark onto a Hyena, creating an extremely aggressive creature capable of ripping limb from limb when they get the perfect bite. In fact, they never even bothered to name the horrific mutt, they just released them in droves on the Capitol rebels, who nicknamed them 'gulpers'. And it worked, not only were the mutts fighters, they were also scavengers, clearing bodies out hours after battles took place. However, problems started showing up when the mutts became greedy, attacking their own owners, Capitol soldiers. They were kicked to the curb, replaced by new, less hostile mutts. However, the Gamemakers have brought them back, with a white camouflage coloring, for the 69th Annual Hunger Games.
20hp. Classified as Large Game. Not Poisonous. Special - Deep Gash doing 8+ damage removes the limb (unless a body or head wound).

Burny Rabbit -- (Throughout) The Burnny Rabbit is a capitol creation originally used for fire and meat on the go, in form of a cuddly companion, but got discontinued due to the danger of spontaneous combustion. That, and many Capitol soldiers didn't want to kill their pet rabbit... The rabbit was designed to be rather adorable, to appeal to the soldiers as a companion when things got lonely. It's the size of a normal wild rabbit, with a bit more meat on it. Its fur is fluffy and black, again for appeal, but also since it's meant for the winter, it's far easier to spot. This might also be a genetic side effect to being combustible. It has a patch on its head whether you can strike flint on it for the rabbit to catch fire and eat. It naturally gravitates towards humans as it's been designed to be a companion, but this causes more problems than it solves, because from scratching and moving, it catches fire. Other times, it just bursts into flames. This is why it had been implemented into the games. It kept bursting into flames in the arms of the capitol soldiers as they slept (or in broad daylight), causing severe 3rd degree burns. They have been re-designed to combust whenever it's near something emitting heat, for example, humans or other mutts. Once it is dead, it cannot combust.
10hp. No food classification. Special mutt - Has fire roll on top of regular attack, dies if it hits a severe burn.
