I am strong.
Tall as the men around me... I am broad.
Shoulders built for packing buckets of water down hills and hills. My feet have cracks and my hands are calloused.
I am hard.
It's brought bumps, it's brought bruises, and yeah, it's kicked me in the ass but... at least life gave me some nice freckles, right? Dripped across my nose like nutmeg.
I always thought, when I was a little girl, I was destined for something more than working all day to lay at night in a dark, cold cabin, but seems like I ain't been taken anywhere yet. Whatever's out there hasn't told me what to do yet.
