Leon Tesla -District Three-

Appearance: Leon stands at 6'1, short black hair with glasses that tint into sunglasses randomly. He has blue eyes that are a shade of ice. He generally has a well-kept appearance and always keeps a shaved appearance to resemble civility.
Leon enjoys wearing suits, or formal attire, and likes the professional look. His glasses, which do tint into Sunglasses are a small invention of his so his vision can adjust accordingly to certain lighting. Though he may have a professional look, it doesn't mean he's all business, and will occasionally just wear jeans and a shirt (Though not often.)
Although Leon may seem completely normal, he has a lack of control of his left eye which tends to drift off. He was also born with a rare chest deformity, where one side of his chest grows faster than the other. Though it is only noticeable when someone touches his chest or when he has his shirt off, the side that hasn't grown, is the side where majority of his heart is, as well as part of his lungs. This causes causes many problems with his ability to run long distances, and is known to almost completely feint after a extensive work-out.
Personality: Leon's personality is rather seclusive. Even though he was rather popular when it came to social life, he always preferred the sanctity of his Lab in his home. Where he programmed machines, created fields of energy that would repulse or absorb things. He always looked up to people who had always created things. One in particular he had read about in the history books at school, Nikola Tesla. His fascination for Tesla was stimulated not because his last name was his, but because of Tesla's contributions to the old world.
As for relationships with other girls or guys, he never cared for such things. “I do not think you can name many great inventions that have been made by married men.” He would always say, he was known for using Tesla's quotes to justify his actions. Leon also has a hatred for anyone who would talk down to him like a child, and can be easily manipulated into a challenge with his anger.
Despite that weakness, he is usually benevolent; creating things to help others free of charge or want of recognition, he seeks only the want of knowledge. He believes that knowledge is the key to mankinds dominance in the world, and hopes to not only help his family and those around him, but to help the world become a more sustainable place. Though he only cares for knowledge, he seeks to help those suffering in Districts such as Twelve.
History: Growing up in District Three, Leon became adept with all forms of technology at a young age. He may have always been the nerd of the group, but he always had a way with words, or at least enough to get out of trouble and make friends while doing it.
During his teen years, his deformity hit him hard. Making it almost impossible for him to exercise extensively. It was only when he turned fifteen when he created a strange viral of medicine in an attempt to even out his chest. Whereas, it did help him and his chest leveled some, it did not completely cure him. His family life was strange, he was an only child, with parents who were obsessed with pleasing the Capitol.
Socially, he was great, making friends whenever he could. Academically, he stood above his classmates in everything that included History or Technology. His mind is always in want of more knowledge, for to him. Knowledge is power. Unfortunately for him, his knowledge is exploited by his parents to please the Capitol.
One fateful night, after months of research and failed experiments. Leon successfully created an energy field that was unlike the normal shields the Capitol made. This field allowed anyone who had a special bracelet he had designed to pass through, anyone else, it would incinerate immediately. It was mere hours after the invention was created before the Capitol science team had 'Borrowed' the field and the bracelet by force. During live conferences President Snow held, the field could just barely be seen through every entrance.
Several weeks later, his parents were given a large sum of money for their decision of informing the Capitol of the experiment. And, for as long as Leon lived with them, everything he did, was secret.
