Adira Wells
Age: 16
Gender: Female
District: 1
APPEARANCE: Adira has striking features, much different and unusual than most others. Her hair, dyed a lighter purple, is vibrant and long, cascading all the way down to her hips. Her eyes are a burning, icy blue color, stained with slight swirls of green near the pupil, outlining her intense stare. Her height, looming up to about 5'7, accented her skinny and lean figure, and was outlined by paler skin and no freckles.
Adira tended to wear outfits that animated her body; and, usually, her training-wear seemed to do just the job -- the outfit consisted of black, padded leather leggings, and a simple black tank-top, along with beaten-up black combat boots. Her purple hair was typically tied back into an intricate braid, accented with small, white flowers that she usually enjoyed to have her little sister place in.
Although, if she didn't have training, typically Adira wore an exotic sort of shirt and jeans; even with the normal outfit, she still managed to stand out of a crowd, purple hair down and floating to her waist.
PERSONALITY: If you were to describe Adira with one word, it would probably be 'audacious'; for, out of anyone in her family, she had the least fears and the most will to succeed -- succession was her upmost goal, and she would stop at nothing to get it.
Although Adira would seem quite frightening and bold, her true personality isn't all like that; instead, she can be gentle and caring - though, this was only if one really got to know her. Otherwise, she hardly had a filter, and was often risky and proud; much like her father, Jeramy Wells, who shared her bold personality and reputation.
Adira was hard-working and determined, and tended to be in training for most of her time, throwing knives and using a bow and arrow; though her strengths resided mainly in knives, bows tended to spark her curiosity. The craft of being able to shoot arrows straight into the heart of a target was her new goal - her new skill.
HISTORY: Despite Adira's rather bold and outspoken personality, her history isn't exactly unique; but it isn't exactly typical, either. With only her depressed father, mother, and little sister, Adira didn't have a large family - she didn't even have much of a family, really. Her father, Jeramy, was always locked up in his room, only coming out for food and work. In the past two years, he's hardly said a word to her; it was so unlike his usual self that several doctors had been with him, but they all have the same diagnosis - depression.
Adira could hardly blame her father; ever since her baby brother, Johnathan, had died, the whole family had gone through a spell of depression and tension. Jeramy had taken the whole burden of his son's death upon his shoulders; he blamed himself so, that he hardly dared to show his face to his own family, claiming that he was too ashamed.
Jeramy was a proud man, so, naturally, when something went terribly wrong, his wall of self-confidence shattered, along with his heart. Jonathan was his only son; his favorite son.
With two daughters to support, Adira's mother struggled to keep the family upright; and she did a good job, too, for the family typically thrived nicely - though, at times, they went through dry spells, stammering to pay and gain more money. Of course, Adira worked as well, finding any job she could manage and handing the money off to her mother.
Even with a history that seemed would bind a family closer, it only pulled Adira's further apart; only her little sister seemed to show her face around the house.
