Reuniting These Two {Marr//Jeran & Vy}

Darkness quickly overtakes Vy once more when the door closes behind her small toddler. There's not a chance that little girl will be able to care for her mother at such a young age, nor will Brittany ever; leaving sleep as her only alternative. Certainly she'll feel better after a few hours of shut eye? Just like every other brawl. She'll recover over that time frame, and wakeup well enough to care for herself...least that's all she can hope for at this moment.

The creek of the door opening doesn't startle the slumbering Blonde this round, too enticed by the captivating sand spell upon her. It's not until a petite hand is shaking her arm, and a squeaky voice is babbling into her ear, that she finally comes to again. Didn't she just send Brooklyn out to play a minute ago? Feels to be only that short length. She attempts at absorbing the Rascal's muffled words, while gazing at her through slanted, blurry vision. There's such a desire to drift back off, but she has to make sure Brooklyn's alright first.

"Make mama all better, Jewen?" Vy just barely makes out, and instantly that name alone has her heart thumping loudly against her weakened body. Is Jeran truly here? Her head spins painfully, struggling with the debate on whether she's relieved that he's here or wants him gone. The palms on her hands press into her closed eyes as if to massage the overwhelming ache. For all she knows it's the hero from last night, and Brooklyn's simply mistaken.

Then another voice breaks out, fluttering through the Wounded's ears like a comforting lullaby. Jeran is here, carrying a load of guilt along with him. An emotional sting actually tares Vy from her physical altercations when he questions if she hates him. Does she? A slow shake arrives from her head before she can bring herself around to talking. "I could never hate you." She manages to force out in a soft whisper and moan. Why does it feel like someone's kicked her knee several times while asleep? Or that her brain's going to squeeze out through her ears?

"I'm fine." Of course that's still what comes from her lips, after Jeran questions how she's doing and informs her that a Doctor's on the way. Isn't one them enough? Clearly she's not too bad off if the first one gave her the go ahead. He did give some advice on what to do if something didn't get better, but she's forgotten. "Is Matthew okay?" She wonders given it's probably been hours since he left.

The presence of Jeran has her crumbling upon the couch, so unlike when the Doc was examining her and Matthew. Has she gotten worse? Or is Jeran still the Man she's unable to fake being strong around? She craves to have him by her side, to ignore the apologizes seeping from his precious lips. There's no remorse or anger left towards him. He's here after all, and she was the one acting like a child by getting into a fight to ignore her feelings on him. "I can't see you...come closer." She nearly begs in her whisper, desperate to feel him close & know that everything will be okay.

Feet quietly shuffle across the floor, already providing comfort for Vy just by knowing it's Jeran drawing closer. His warm hand scoops up one of her's like he has so many times before, assuring her that everything's going to be okay. Matthew's being care for at the hospital, and Jeran's here to tend to her...and that's as far as her consideration can go with the misery consuming her leg. Perhaps it's a good thing that he's able to see past her lie of being okay, while her body has no willpower to protest against it any further. Oddly enough, the last thing she wants to do is push him away again.

Though it's easy to tell Jeran wouldn't ever leave her in a condition like this, Vy still drops the tough act. Whether it's voluntary or forced from the pain is unknown, but at least it rids of her stubbornness towards neglecting help. "Okay." She agrees with her voice a tad louder, feeding off the warmth surrounding one of her hands. Eyes are forced open to finally register the breathtaking features beside her. "But I don't need to go anywhere...just stay here...with me." The only bit of argument she holds is presented, while she squeezes his hand and closes her eyes once more.

Fingers disappear from her skin, leaving her wanting to reach out for it again. The exhaustion's too powerful though, and has her wanting to drift off. "Where Jewan go?" Brooklyn begins to sniffle, worried that the one person that's able to help has left. "Mama?" She gently shakes Vy's arm, frantic to not let her fall back asleep.

Chatter can be heard from the distance, but Vy's unable to comprehend any of it. All she knows is that Jeran hasn't left. "He'll be back, sweetie." She reassures her little one to the best of her ability. Why he's decided to go lecture Brittany at a time like this, she'd rather not question. Either way he's entering the room moments later, bringing along that sense of relief with him. He presses for her not to fall asleep, causing her eyes to flicker open once again.

Seconds later her eyes are shut tight again to absorb the pain of her knee, while ice is delicately placed around it. "Don't think this pain...will let me have...a concussion." She mutters through gritted teeth and tense muscles. Truthfully, she'd love to slip back into the darkness. "Plus...I woke up." That must mean she doesn't have one, right? She tries to settle her focus back on him again; while a short grin spreads across her face, before the ache in her cheeks has it fading. Then her eyes find the small toddler behind him.

"I'm going to be..." She stops herself from saying fine. "...good, soon." That works, it's honesty. "Just have some owies." Is explained in the way a two year old can understand. "Will you go watch granny for me?" The bottom lip of Brooklyn's, curls up and sinks in her upper half. She wants nothing more then to stay by her Mama's side, make sure she's going to be okay. But she's also fully aware that this a time to listen, and nods her head before leaving.

"Think I busted my knee again." Vy attempts to joke through her hushed tone, another grin sliding to her lips for only a moment. "And my brain...might be expanding my skull." She tries to only concentrate on the warmth from their connecting palms, and the brisk temperate covering her swollen knee. Of course a minute later Brittany's busting open the door, to loudly connect with the wall. Instantly Vy's face is scrunching up in discomfort.

"Really? You've been out all night, and can't even watch your daughter for a damn hour!" Brittany scolds as Brooklyn wobbles in with even more sniffles, trying to best not to cry. "Stop playing wounded and pull your shit together. You're a fracken Career Vanity!" Guess she didn't take too kindly to being told off by Jeran. "Here's your stupid doctor." The older man follow in after the toddler, appearing as baffled as ever. The door quickly slams shut afterwards, leaving Vy's head in a whirlwind. Least the witch is gone.

As much as Jeran's touch is saving her, she has to pull away from it to weakly wrap an arm around whimpering Brooklyn. The tiny head snuggles into her shoulder, and luckily doesn't require any movement on Vy's part. "It's okay baby girl...Granny's just being mean." She whispers out, while retrieving Jeran's hand back into her grasp in order to keep herself together. Why the hell did she leave the Ruze's for this place? She may never understand her own stupidity. "I'm sorry, Jeran." Comes forth as her attention finds him. Can't believe he's still here despite everything. Guess he never fails at saving the tough chicks.

There's truly nothing worse then having a toddler crying out of pure sorrow, especially when there's vaguely a solution to the situation. It's far different from those tears formed out of unnecessary reasoning, to get a preferred outcome or simply due to uncontrollable child emotions. The sob within Vy's arms is entirely due to a young mind's discomfort in her daily setting. Seeing Jeran return, and Brittany perform as her normal self, Vy's completely aware of why Brooklyn's forming puddles in her shirt. She's not scared of her Grandmother, she desires the more enjoyable life they had for a brief period not too long ago. Tears choke up in Vy's throat and eyes, though she somehow manages to stuff them down to remain strong. Jeran saves tough chicks.

Can't deny that the light humor he does add to the mixture, is quite refreshing. Every aspect of his presence has her relieved in some way, despite the stubbornness to avoid him that consumed her priorly. She'll never forget how serious, anti-sarcastic, he used to appear. Yet now it's him sarcastically lightening up her wounded period. There's not a single aspect she'd change about this...well except for his next disappearance to go visit Brittany again. Couldn't they just leave her to rot all alone? Now that Vy realizes her lack in wanting to rid of the love of her life, she doesn't want to let him go; especially not for her Mother. Either way she holds no energy to protest.

He doesn't find a need for her to apologies. "Okay." In return she willingly caves into following the Doctor's instructions. For such a long moment, her head didn't brutally throb for her relief; her knee wasn't screaming for attention. Once the door closes behind Jeran, all of her pain floods back like an uncontrollable tidal wave.

A light flashes into her eyes, overtaking her senses as her damage has, and instinctively she wants to flinch away. Cooperate with the doctor, she has to remind herself. "I'm fine..." That word slips out while Jeran's not present, though Vy does quickly gaze around just to make sure. "I just need some painkillers and I'll be good." She reassures through closed eyes, while resting her head on the top of Brooklyn's. Something to rid of these brutal aches, and a cuddle to sleep, sounds like the perfect cure to her.

Having a romance of Vy's stroll into her house, and tell her how to live, fuels Brittany more then anything else. At first she wanted to claim her daughter's handsome love interest for herself; but now she just wants to destroy him, and whatever he has going on with Vy as well. How many kids has he raised to believe that he knows more? Having to train a Career when she was just one herself. Then watching history repeat itself, as her daughter births a child before over reaping age. He has no clue what it's like! And now he thinks he's going to steal her only family for a better life? Keep dreaming. She's had enough with repeats.

"Right. So you can break her heart again, and they'll both be right back here in a couple of weeks." Doesn't matter if his back is turned towards her, and he's attempting to exit. Unfortunately Brittany's far more observant then she appears. "Go play knight in shinning armor. We'll see how many times with cycle goes around before you get bored." Maybe just knowing that his potential girlfriend is spawned from a bitch like her, will be plenty to detour him. "Guess we'll have this same argument in a months time, if you don't give up now? Should be fun." She grins wickedly.

Failure, it's a rare occurrence for Brittany. She's stupidly impeccable with her word choices, and has a knack for getting under people's skins. Yet she's forced to watch as Jeran manages to walk away from her, unamused by her warnings. He is taking them into consideration though, that much she can tell. The way his stance is stern, his back muscles tensed up like he's ready to physically attack if need be. "Stupid boy." Brittany mutters loudly in a chuckle. He's boiling water, desperate to overflow, but she just can't seem to bring him over the top. The doors shuts behind him, and this round is officially over. Ding, ding.

"I don't need to go to the hospital..." Vy protests once more through her soft pitch. All she wants to do is drift back to sleep, with the comfort that Jeran will be there caring for Brooklyn. The chaos of a hospital, over another stupid reoccurring injury, sounds pointless and worsening. "This damn knee is always falling out of place." She yawns while remaining glued to the snuggle Brooklyn's providing. "Just need some peace...and quiet."

The Doctor excuses himself from Vy's side, to quietly discuss something with the one that brought him here. Of course there's a dire need for Vy to know what's being said, but she's too busy fighting the urge of slumber to concentrate upon it. "No hospital." She mumbles through closed eyes, that no longer have the strength to remain open for very long. Sleep. But Jeran's soothing voice prevents her from completely escaping, especially when he suggests a plan to Brooklyn. He would be a gentleman and make sure the toddler's comfortable with this. A petite grin unfolds across Vy's lips.

Returning back to the Ruze household, where no one of the Brittany variety resides, is truly the best outcome currently. Can't deny the fear of what the future may hold after this, but for now Vy's unable to think of anything better. She nods to Brooklyn to exit with the Doctor, before pulling her entire focus over to Jeran. Fingers comb through the side of his hair, while she gazes into his chocolate brown eyes. "Okay." She agrees without hesitation, only a light growing smile. She couldn't ask for anything more at this moment.

No more challenges are presented from her, not even as Jeran scoops her up to escape her from this horrible place. She's missed the warmth that his arms provide, a sensation she was certain she had lost for good. At least she has it again at this very second. "I've missed you." She muffles into his shoulder, doing her best to bite back the vicious agony of moving her knee.

"You're not taking my Granddaughter!" Brittany announces when the group enter into the living room. As baffled as the doctor is, he lifts up the small child to prevent the older woman from getting ahold of her. In response, Brittany's after Jeran, whom already has his hands filled enough. "I'm not letting her get raised by this piece of shit, and a Peacekeeper wannabe!" Her posture is that of a fierce, yet delicate, animal who's about to pounce. "Give her to me, and the rest of you are free to leave." That's a demand, not a request.

And unfortunately, Vy has little power to fight. "Frack off Brittany." She tries to demand, though her voice hardly gets out. It's difficult enough to keep her arms around Jeran's neck, let alone staying awake. This is no time for a debate over who can obviously care for Brooklyn better. "Just keep going, Jeran." She begs.
