Not the smoothest course [Jack;Matthew]

Olivia clenches the tags in her hand tightly the moment the guy walks in. Her eyes study the man that has appeared before her and it only dons on her that he once trained her. That day that Brian had given her nothing but shit. The day that he had taken it upon himself to look after her when she went back in to get her staff and ended up meeting the wall with his hands near her throat. MAtthew was there, looking out for her and she never saw anything more from this guy that has come to see her.

"Course. Your hand healed, I see." She states the obvious for him as well and ignores the comment he made about her volunteering. What could she even say to him about it?

What would it matter?

"I'm surprised you care enough to even come to see me. We barely know each other." Her words have never been the mosts kind. Not even now because her fingers shake very lightly before she folds her arms up into her person and stares at Matthew. "What made you come see me? I'm just another person going off into the games."

She turns and goes to the table, sitting on top of the wooden slab and drawing her legs upward and crossing them. Her hands clasp together and she lays them in her lap. A shrug of her shoulders makes the verbal part of their conversation halt.

"Yeah. I know."

Her facial expression changed to that of confusion for the simple fact that he knew his relationship with her was a one time deal. So odd, in fact, that it had her questioning his real intentions for coming to see her. Was there a bit of jealousy that she got to volunteer or was he here to rub it in her face about the possiblity of death to come upon her body. All of which halted the moment he asked if she was worried.

"No." She fibbed ever so lightly. In truth, she wasn't all that afraid because if she truely was afraid, then she wouldn't be in this room and he wouldn't be visiting her. Seeing him in here to visit her had her more worried because there was some underlying cause. Did Brian put him up to it?

That's when he turned away from her and walked to the window before he suddenly jerked back around and blurt something out with a gasp. Dumbfounded, she raised an eyebrow and shook her head slowly.

"Please tell me that you are not in love with me because I am really too young for you. And besides, it's a really bad time for this now." She half joked while giving him a subtle grin. Silence followed before he asked a question that made her blood run cold.

"Does your brother have anything to do with you volunteering?"

"What kind of question is that?" She was curious for her own reasons. Perplexed about the situation that was suddenly becoming a little too personal, but shouldn't she set it all out for one soul to listen to her and someone that she will never see again, most likely?

"My brother. My mom. My dad. All of them has to do with this. Also, Maxamillian Stahl of the peacekeepers and everyone that I've ever tried to befriend and live with." The truth came out. "Living in a foster home isn't all great when in three years, I'll be out on my own. Life with the peacekeepers just can't come soon enough and I'll be damned if I have to be shipped off before I turn eighteen to another home. Just best I try to fend for myself. I am my own person. Remember? I told you that I do not want people to remember me by my family."

She stayed on top of the table, only stretching out her legs, letting them fall across the edge and her hands became planted to keep her upright. Bottom lip went inward as she bit on it and dropped her head. "If you only came to gloat about my brother being killed by a peacekeeper, then leave. Either way, I'm better off without the ass."font]

"Stahl? You're friends with him?" He asks her, and she does a double take right before spouting off an answer stating nothing but the truth.

"Of course. He's my mentor. My friend. He rescued me when my old man took control out of grief from when his 'precious little boy' died. If he wasn't around, then I wouldn't be standing here waiting for death again." She tells him without skipping a beat. Though, her heart is wildly beating away with each memory from that night when the door opened, to hearing his voice and then Kaiser snuffling her ear before being carried out of that cellar.

"So you and your brother weren't close?"

"Hmm. Close. Sure we were close a few times. When do you want to know about which time? When he held me over the stairs and leg go? Or how about the time that he cut me with a pair of sissors on my neck when I was four. Anytime we were close, death was near too. Death always followed Jins."

The first time in her life, those words escaped with about as much passion as someone who died protecting a secret. Her eyes glared at Matthew, showing him how much of the truth was just released. How she seemed to suffer in silence. Now was the moments for truth. Matthew would hear every last one of them.

Silence follows. Then a moment when Matthew's mouth opens again, something interesting occurs. Apparentlly, she wasn't the only one tortured by her own brother. A snort of laughter escapes her lips but she isn't taunting him at all.

"I heard various stories, but you know this town. Anyone will say anything to get attention." She states.

"He almost choked her to death, injured a ccouple of others including me."

"Interesting. I see you survived. Jins never was good at going through with killing someone. He probably never even meant to kill you. Probably only make you suffer like he did me. She alright though? Your girlfriend? What's her name?"

She looks at him for a moment and when the name is revealed, she simple shakes her head. The next words that comes out she looks at him with an honest sort of stare.

"I hate him. I'm glad he's dead. Matthew, you have to do me a favor, and you can't back out of it cause we don't have much more time now. You find my parents and tell them that I will never forgive them for what they put me through. I want them to suffer for the rest of their lives. You tell them that Jins was always evil and they did shit to protect their daughter. Then I want you to thank them for me. Without their negligence, I wouldn't be this strong. I wouldn't be able to take on these games. Also..."

She looks to him with a bit of sincerity, "Matthew, please do me one more huge favor. Tell Maxamillion Stahl... that I loved him. Will you? And that I'm sorry."
