Appearance:
Luxa has gorgeous black hair that is always falling into her face when it's not tied back into a ponytail. She also has grease streaks in her hair from her workings in the factories of District 3. She has glowing blue eyes that are accompanied by dark circles from overwork in the factories. She also has a sharp, pointed face, which makes her look like a fox, or if she is starving.
Luxa also has ashen skin, which is a way District 3 is distinguishable from other Districts in Panem. Luxa actually is embarrassed about how she looks like most of the other people in her district, because she wants to be unique, which influences her to cover up her skin with black clothing.
Personality:
Luxa, in her own way, strives to be unique. This can be good or bad depending on the situation. Say if it means she has to invent more than the others, or stays up late trying to think of an invention that all of Panem needs, that's good. If it means that she must love the Hunger Games when everyone else hates them, or if she must love the Capitol when everyone else hates them, that's bad to the Districts but good to the Capitol.
Luxa is a kindhearted person, and she is nice to everyone around her. If anyone she knew got reaped for the District 3 female she would volunteer immediately to take her place. Since Luxa is so kindhearted, it might make it harder to kill other tributes, and the other tributes might take advantage of that and kill her.
History:
Luxa was born to a family that has never been torn apart by the Hunger Games, most likely because they have never had to take any tesserae. So that means that Luxa and her siblings have only been entered once for each year that they have been eligible for the Hunger Games, because their father was the mayor, which means he was so rich that they could afford almost anything.
Luxa's family was living the good life, right until Luxa had just turned 11, which was when Luxa's father had passed away. He was said to have a heart attack while working in the office. The new mayor gave her family a sum of money that would last them a month, and then Luxa's mom was expected to get a job. Only she didn't. Luxa's mother was so depressed that she never even left the house to purchase the food that Luxa's family needed.
So Luxa and her siblings all got jobs at one of the District factories. They all worked overtime to make the money they needed for food and clothing and other everyday necessities. Once Luxa was turned 12 she started taking tesserae along with her other siblings that were old enough. What they made seemed to never be enough, and slowly they were starving to death. It was when Luxa started inventing things they had enough money to purchase the food that would stop them from starving to death.
