Why do you want this character?: I want Emerald because in a place like District Four where there is so much to be admired, she has been forced to focus on the negative aspects. She can't love the oceans because they are free, and that's something she knows she'll never be. She can't have friends because she knows they have all had better lives than she has ever even thought of having. She can't even be happy in her home because her own parents will never truly love her. I want Emerald because I want to write her through all of this and eventually help her to get over these things, hopefully to the point that she can lead a happy life: to the point where she can enjoy the things she was raised to ignore.
Short description of the character (just a sample of their personality): Yes, Emerald is an envious person, but not because she is spoiled and always craves more. No, Emerald's envy stems from the fact that she has never been afforded anything, and she has been forced to watch everyone around her have it all. But she is more than her envy. She is a girl with no confidence. A girl with an extraordinary gift in painting, but who can't bring herself to show anyone her work because she just knows deep within that they'll have something better. Emerald is a girl that doesn't know what it's like to be happy, but a girl who wants to learn how to be. Emerald is a girl with the potential to be great with some development, she just needs the time to prove it.
Any plans/plots you have for this character? (optional): Obviously there has to be some sibling tension, particularly with Aisling/Sanja and Reyes, since they have always been the favorites. I want her to find someone that helps her realize she isn't worthless and that she doesn't have to be so bitter about the things she doesn't have, and someone who won't give up until she can wake up each morning with a smile on her face. I also want her to get into some trouble. Maybe she has had enough of her life and decides to start stealing so that she can have nice things. Maybe to her, these possessions fill the void that has always ached within her. And of course when she gets caught things end up worse than they were before.
Other: there's no shame in being thorny ;). Roses are red, I'm pretty sure violets are purple, this family's insane, and so are you. Also ooo

Why do you want this character?: I really need to get back out there on this site and what better way to do it with one for your brilliant plots! Beatrice will defiantly challenge me with her sin of gluttony the most out of all the characters. She is young and moldable which is perfect for me as a writer. And who doesn't love a Seven Deadly Sins Plot??
Short description of the character: The thought of seperation plagues young Beatrice's life. Her fear of her parent's taking away her things makes her take more. She stuffs herself whenever she can in fear that maybe one day she will go hungry again. Hoarding toys, food in secret places, and taking other peoples playmates is just a way that Beatrice protects herself. The best way to protect herself from having nothing is to have more then enough. She can't stop even when she tries, her humble fingers always dance their way to something she might not be able to live without.
Any plans/plots you have for this character?: Beatrice could defiantly get into trouble with her kleptomaniac ways. I can see her getting into trouble with authorities for stealing food or even her parents when they lock her away without the nessecities she thinks she needs. Friend troubles at school or getting her hands on the wrong things could defiantly spark family drama. Maybe Emerald could use take advantage of her quick hands to get back at her parents.

Sexual orientation of the character: idk maybe bisexual
Why do you want this character?: Well pride is kinda two sides of the same coin since it goes both ways. It's a positive trait to be proud of yourself, of who you are, your achievements etc. But then an excess of pride leads to narcissism, hubris, arrogance, entitlement - the whole sha-bang of negatives. I think it'll be interesting to play a blindly proud person, someone on the verge of a fall but can't seem to see it.

Short description of the character: Reyes is proud because he's been conditioned into it. He's a smartie and a cutie and he makes an excellent career all in one. (And maybe he's gotta a hella good talent at swimming or something.) His brothers and sisters don't speak to him much, and he's isolated in the cold limelight constructed by the liberal amounts of false affection his parents have laid onto him, all while neglecting the majority of his other siblings.

So as a kid, he definitely noticed the way his brothers and sisters were treated like something disposable, despite them all being womb-buddies. Looking for justification for the discrepancy, Reyes built up a bunch of reasons that all lead up to the fact that he was born better and that somehow gives him reason to be all alone on his pillar of quasi-awesomeness — hoist by his own petard.

Right now, he's kinda just deluded himself into thinking he's too good for anyone in order to deal with the immense loneliness of not really having any friends (no one can stand his better-than-you asshatery anyhow) and being in a family where none of his siblings actually likes him. He's overly proud of his achievements because that's all he has. He's just stuck with blindly loving himself because no one else does.

Any plans/plots you have for this character? (optional): Ah idk. Maybe some sort of fall from grace. Maybe he gets a reality check. Realizes nobody likes him not because they're an inferior sub-species, but because he's a lil ass. Or maybe he realizes he's always known that, but he's just been convincing himself otherwise. idkk ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
