Indigo Tornhell
A mission dropped onto the arms of the willing teenager filled the air as a select few gathered in the back of a dark alley. The only light came from the crescent moon sitting high in the sky hidden beneath dark clouds leaving an eerie filling in the air. Rats scurried through the alley running from garbage can to garbage can as the chatter carried on. All f them fighting for survival. Such a pity. Indigo turned towards the others gathered with him. A grin laced with malice twisted its way across his lips spreading from ear to ear.
Beady eyes fixed on him. All of them curious as to why Snake chose him, and why Indigo in return chose them as the ones to follow. Quick hands yanked the hood from his head tugging his shaggy dark brown hair from his scalp. His eyes shifted from every single person sizing them up making sure they had what it took in order to succeed. It had been a long time since his thirst was quenched. Since some true chaos ran through the districts. Many tried to succeed, but all have failed. The weight pressed against his shoulders turning the mission into something fun. A challenge. A simple task in order to throw away those who disregard him as the upcoming leader.
Tonight the ever growing thirst would finally be satisfied.
"The tast is simple. A Tornhell has abandon the gang, and we will find her. We will bring her back to Snake, and then she must pay. Tonight we target the bar she went to every single night." No emotion filled the words. Each night the target would change slowly growing into larger tasks. Destroy all those aiding the reject, and everyone else who stood in his way. Soon Indigo Tornhell would be a name nobody forgot. People would bow to him, and a few would become a prize possession. A trophy for his rewards.
The clouds broke giving way to the moon for only a second, but it was enough to know the time was right. Glass bottles clanked against one another as each individual took as many as they possibly could. All of them full of lighter fluid with a cloth hanging from the tips of them soaked with the same fluid setting inside. Filling his backpack with as many as possible, he turned away. A night filled with fun. A way to show them that he was a step ahead of them. Just like always. Once ready he threw the hood over his face again. Cotton fabric rubbed against his face until all anyone could see was blue eyes staring off somewhere in the distance.
Step by step he moved. The evil grin grew larger with every passing second. In one hand was his lighter. Inside of it the liquid fire. Tree branches scratched against one anther as wind flew across the area. Breathing life into all who's living. Grass crunched beneath the weight of his feet. Step. Crunch. Step. Crunch. His breaths caught in the back of his throat. All of them listening for any sign of movement. The moment of truth was coming quicker than anyone of them could realize. Indigo stopped in his tracks before quickly turning around to face the army behind him. Outnumbered by the peacekeepers roaming the district, was just a meager disadvantage, yet not a single one of them knew what was coming.
Citizens danced around the building. Excitement pranced throughout their veins. In all reality, it made him sick. These little girls weren't meant to be here. All of them were trophies. All of them prizes. Soon he would have them. Removing the lighter from his pocket, he lit a piece of fabric on fire signaling for all the others to follow suit. The flame grew larger and large, and we waiting until all of the soldiers were in place. Innocent souls rested inside. Indigo's heart hammered rapidly. His eyes fixed on the flame in front of him. His wide eyes reflecting the flame. It was perfect. Every single bit of it. "Kill them all." His voice laced with an icy chill echoed down the alley and his brain as his hand flew backwards sending the first petrol bomb flying through a window inside of the bar. He lit the next bomb on fire.
And he waited as the flames grew larger and larger.
Soon screams filled the air. His entire body shook with excitement. The building grew brighter and brighter. Smoke filled the air. Consuming the bodies of those around. If it wasn't for the hood hiding his face, the smoke would fly deep into his lungs setting them on fire. Beads of sweat rolled down his face saturating the cotton fabric hiding his true identity. Screams grew louder and louder as rooms grew bright orange from the flames dancing around. The smell of burning flesh filled his nostrils with a sweat smell. One that he wouldn't ever get rid of. "Burn...yes...burn...feel the blaze...burn..." He moved towards the door. Holding onto the petrol bomb as tight as he could. Soon they would dance through the door screaming from the flames, but what they won't ever realize the games have only begun.
He cackled as the bomb flew from his hands as citizens ran wild.
This was only the beginning.
