Hello tributes! As you're all in mutt threads today, I figured this is a good time to further explain the mutt-fleeing rule that we've put into effect these Games. If you're still confused about this by the time you have to flee your fight, please, please feel free to ask us questions.
Here's how it works:
In a nutshell, if there are the same amount or more mutts than there are tributes when it's time for any given person to flee, then the dice will have to be rolled in order to flee successfully.
The dice are determined by two things:
Dice number = 1 + the number of mutts currently alive in the fight
The number that each tribute would have to roll to flee is dependent on how many tributes are left in the fight. This number = the number of tributes left or lower.
Take, for example, a fight in which one mutt is left alive with three tributes:
The first person to flee would not have to roll the dice, because there's just one mutt left. 1 + 1 mutt = dice=2, but because there are three (including themselves) in the fight, the dice aren't needed, because they would have to roll a 3 or lower, and that's guaranteed.
The second person to flee would also not have to roll the dice, as they would roll dice=2 and would have to roll a 2 or lower (which is guaranteed) because there's still two tributes left in the fight.
The last tribute to flee, however, would have to roll dice=2, and would have to roll a 1 in order to flee. This is because there's only one person (themselves) left. They will have to keep rolling the dice until they are successful, and the mutt will keep attacking until they are fled.
If you have any questions about how this will operate in your fights for the day (especially once one mutt/tribute in your fight is dead, and the fight is over), I urge you to send us a PM, and we will gladly explain how this rule works for your specific case.
Thanks - and good luck, tributes!
EDIT: Aya made a handy-dandy mutt-fleeing dice calculator. Note that the number of tributes in thread means the number of tributes left in the thread at the current time.
