I dislike my family. That's obvious to many people, but I feel like mentioning it once more is a good idea. Besides that; I love my bedroom because my parents understand my burning hatred for my siblings and them so they have my bedroom the farthest away from everyone elses' and the only time they bother me is when they're feeling either bitchy, friendly (though that's the most rare occasion), or they're telling me dinner is ready and I gotta go eat the dinner table. All of the above are things that I hate, because that involves socializing and seeing any of my family members. However most of the time I don't say anything because they'll most likely go talking about how I'm jealous they're better than me or some stupid crap. I'm really not that jealous of anyone; if I could I'd run away and get a new family because the Spotlight is definitely something I do not care about or worship unlike my siblings.

I lay down on my bed, facing the ceiling and just sitting there for the longest time. I have no idea who cares, obviously you if you're reading this; but I'm bored. I have nobody to talk to and I can't even get any friends because they don't want to be around my fucking insane family. I wouldn't either, if you couldn't tell by my hatred and I honestly would prefer to live in their house rather than mine. Maybe I'm just being plain old stupid and stubborn; but I think I got the point across. If you haven't gotten it, though, is my family is fucking crazy.

Sitting around the house was becoming boring; we hadn’t done anything in ages. The youngsters were out schooling and we the ‘older lot’ were stuck doing nothing. I tried to busy my mind, by running, doing brain teasers but I was still bored. We haven’t had any challenges for a while now, they must have had something big planned for us, and otherwise they wouldn’t have stalled us for so long. Or maybe we were already secretly being challenge? Maybe they were testing how we coped with boredom but that was weak compared to previous challenges. It was easy to keep yourself occupied in this house, regardless of challenges or not.

Sitting on the ground against my bed, I’d rest my head onto the mattress; I had a ball in my hand. Throwing it against the wall, it’d send a rattle through the house. Every time it bounced back, I would catch it. I was quite surprised nobody had complained about the noise, either way I would have still continued with my game.

I am eager to get another challenge done; I am determined to win it this time. I’ve trained myself up the best I can, I know all the other siblings strengths and weaknesses. It is easy to study them, when you’re around them all the time. They’ve a variety of faults and now I know every single one of them. The next challenge I will use that knowledge to my own advantage, I will definitely get the spotlight in the bag this time. I know my parents have slowly given up on me but I still have a lot to prove.

My thoughts were interrupted by a loud thunk, thunk, thunk, as one of her brothers, Probably Darak, was playing with a ball in his room. However I've always thought that Dick would be the one to be playing with balls the most despite his name. Grinning at the thought my smile had quickly turned into a frown again as another thump had echoed through the wall and god damn it I was going to put a stop to it because it was annoying as hell. Why can't I even lay in bed without being bothered in this house? I think to myself as I walk out of my door. Walking down the hallway and up the stairs to the second floor I had found the door that led into Darak's room. I was fuming, no, steaming at him for making such noise that had to lead to me coming upstairs to tell him to stop because there was no use in trying to hope he will stop without anyone telling him to.

I walk into his room without even asking and find him with the god damned ball. "Can you please be quiet for once?" I complain to him with a frown on my face. He was always bugging me, just like the rest of the family. This wasn't different than any other occasion of course. It's just my daily hell of a life.

Thud thud thud It was quite a mesmerizing noise, I wonder if someone’s head would make the same noise if I threw it at the wall. However I am quite surprised nobody has complained about the noise, they usually have by now. Of course I would retaliate, after all this is my room, this is where I am alone by myself. I can do whatever I want in my room, regardless of noise or not. It is my safe haven, my own little world.

I don’t allow any of the siblings into my room; of course I know the younger ones would likely trash it. The only other person, who enters my room, is my mother when she collects the laundry. I give her a timed period, she exceeds that time and she is out. I don’t care if she is an adult and pays for this house, I’ve lived in this room long enough to claim it as my own.

Hearing somebody outside the door, I’d continue throwing the ball. Looking over to the door as it flung open, I’m met by one of the youngsters, Dolly. "Can you please be quiet for once?" I expected it to be her to complain, she is the odd one. The one who doesn’t care for the spotlight. ”Get the fuck out of my room!” I’d grunt, flinging the ball in her direction. It’d skim just past her face, landing in the hallway.

I'd laugh at him as he'd grunt at me, telling me to get out of his room. He'd throw the ball at me as it would skim past my face and land out into the hallway behind me. Well, there's the noise factor out of the window. He can't make any more noise if he has no ball to do it. I would laugh slightly, turning around to see it rolling on the ground. A voice that belongs to my body would speak out, not being hesitant at all considering that my brother could probably end my life before I could finish a sentence. I'd fold my arms and stand there without really caring what he'd do; because I'm the oddball.

Nobody cares about the oddball.

"Why do I need to stay out of your room?" I'd ask while stepping back so I'm in the hallway, but my left foot inside his room. "I'm not fully in your room, so I'm listening correctly, right?"
