what you see

Brown locks sit atop his head, either messily hanging over his eyes or pushed off to the side. The coarse hair frames the top of his head, contrasting against his fair complexion. Neat stubble lines his jaw, circling around his mouth. He tends to it every couple of days, not particularly caring about how presentable it looks. His eyebrows are fine and thin, two crescent moons above his eyes. His face is smooth aside from the hair, coloured ever so slightly with a tan. Overall, however, he appears to have fair skin. A proportional nose sticks out from his face, turning up slightly at the tip. Thin lips sit below, their pinkish colour standing out amongst his light skin tone. His eyes are a chocolate brown, surrounded by bruises and bags you'd typically find on a hardworking and ambitious student.

He stands at a fair 6'0'', weighing in at a fairly average amount for his height. He's not particularly muscular, instead remaining fairly toned considering how little he puts into exercise. His shoulders are broad, a pronounced collarbone stretching across it. Leo's arms stretch on down to dexterous hands, his fingers nimble and quick. They are often tapping across a work keyboard or working on a circuit board, evident wear and tear found all across them. His legs are long, forming the basis of his height and ending in thin feet. High arches keep him held up all day, taking him throughout the packed streets of District Three.

He often wears rather preppy clothing including a lot of button up shirts and different coloured fitted pants. Jackets of all kinds populate his closet, and dressier shoes line the bottom. Leo aims to dress nicely simply due to his ambition and hope to impress those around him. Sleeves are often rolled up to his elbows, allowing him freedom as he works with his hands. A set of darkly framed glasses often sit upon his nose whilst reading or looking at the screens at work, and he tends to forget that they're on most of the time. His voice is of a slightly deeper tone, picking up at the end of his words as if every one was a question (and it's quite similar to a Belfast accent).

Leo keeps most of his thoughts to himself, never particularly interested in speaking. It's his opinion that you should only say what has to be said. He's withdrawn most of the time, living the majority of his life inside his own head. He observes what occurs in the world but doesn't believe he has to interact with it for life to continue on. Like a pool filled with ideas and inventions, his mind is often elsewhere at all times so he comes off as distracted. It's like he gets lost within it, forgetting that he is actually existing in situations. It leads to a fairly lonely lifestyle as he keeps to himself. His brain is like a train station with many different trains coming in and out at all times. He follows several tracks at once, losing himself to them at times.

There is no question that his most evident trait is his love of knowledge, and aptitude in pursuing it. He's a smart kid, almost always preferring to use his mind above all else. He grasps things rather easily, absorbing information around him. That intelligence exists only within the world of academia, however, and not within the realm of street smarts. He's dependent on others in the social aspect, which comes as a problem as he doesn't particularly have anybody to identify with in that area. His understanding of how the world works on a deeper level is incredibly vast, and it shows that he's fascinated by education and the content taught to him. The superficial and societal constructs, however, puzzle him greatly. He is, however, rather ambitious and always seeks to become something better than the Leo from the day before. It drives him further in everything he does, sometimes pushing him into situations he'd rather avoid. With his drive and ability, he may come off as ruthless to get where he wants to be within the world of academics.

Leo always needs to keep himself going, never quite enjoying to stop. It's an anxious habit of his to keep busy. Uncomfortable when not distracted, Leo will take on as much as possible to stay occupied as much as possible. He's restless, staying up late at night to complete the next project he has for work, or whatever the case may be. Fitting in rather well in District Three, he is a rather hard worker because of his preference of doing just that: working hard. He's industrious; he will use whatever is at his disposal to efficiently complete the job, even if he suffers mentally and physically in the process. It's his opinion that hard work pays off in the end, and he's desperately hoping for that pay off. It's an obsession, in a way, and most certainly becomes unhealthy at times. He gets attached to things he puts work into, wanting to see how it pans out. This applies in all aspects of life, even those where it could be negatively seen.

He's eccentric, in ways, not quite seeming to be all there. One would not hesitate to call him odd as he so evidently engrosses himself into all of his work tasks, ignoring anything and anybody around him. This ability of his to disappear into his own world leads to many irresponsible and reckless acts, however. He doesn't hesitate to make big jumps to do what needs to be done, even if they may be risky. For somebody with an anxious state of mind, he isn't one to avoid situations that could bring about failure. In fact, he chases those down so he can prove them wrong; he likes showing that the impossible is possible, even if it doesn't always work out in his favour. He most certainly fears inadequacy, wanting to be the best. If that means putting himself through hell in the process, Leo doesn't quite care. He's idealistic and strives for perfection, but he hates criticism necessary to push him towards it. He likes to be the only one who judges himself, not enjoying the eyes that fall upon him as he digs deeply into the confines of his mind.

what you remember

Aedan Everitt and Ryanne MacAuley met in their late thirties, both having a child of their own from previous marriages. Aedan's prior wife died from sickness, leaving her son Cabhan to be raised by his father. Ryanne's husband perished in the Games at the age of 18, leaving her pregnant with baby Myrna. The two families joined together as one, living peacefully for two years. Well beyond the typical age of motherhood, Ryanne was not expecting to conceive Leonidas. He was born on the 3rd of March, 18 years younger than Ryanne and 17 years younger than Cabhan.

He was, evidently, the baby of the family whilst growing up in the earlier stages of his life. He had the attention of four adults, constantly watching over him. He wasn't very old at all, probably around 4, when he started showing that he wasn't a normal kid in terms of being social and grasping information. He learned to talk rather early on, and would never stop for many years. But by the time he entered school and proved to be beyond his years, the attention from his parents and siblings seemed to have cut off entirely. Aedan and Ryanne were getting older and older, reaching an age where it was exhausting to care for a younger child. Cabhan and Myrna moved out on their own, following their own path in life and not particularly having the time to care for Leo. As a result, school became everything to Leo as it was the only place he truly felt he belonged.

He excelled during each of his years, bringing in marks that would make any parent proud. Both Aedan and Ryanne were exceptionally happy with their son and his progress, and never once didn't show that they loved him; he just began to become disconnected from them at a young age. By the time he grew to be ten, his talking had decreased drastically and he began to grow into the withdrawn Leo that he would remain. No longer the excited kid, he became quiet and focused on bettering himself, believing that that was exactly why his family seemingly lost interest. If he wasn't providing his absolute best work, maybe that's why his siblings didn't stay at home and spend time with him. Whilst flawed logic, it worked for a young kid his age.

His early teenage years were the worst. With puberty, he felt awkward and not fully comfortable within his body. With nobody to help guide him through it, Leo almost entirely withdrew and stayed closed off in his mind. There was a time where he went without saying anything at all, simply responding with the necessary nod or shake of his head. He grew out of it quickly enough, but still tends to retreat as a defense mechanism. Whilst he has grown more comfortable as himself, Leo certainly still maintains those issues with his confidence and assurance in life.

At the moment, Leo is working in the factories and developing new technology in all aspects. His personal preference is with physics. He's an experimental physicist at heart, and loves all the different concepts within it. At the same time as working, he continues to pursue education in all the different avenues of technology, having a love and passion for engineering and inventing. On the side, he has begun to show an interest in the computers found at the work site, saving up to purchase one of his own so he can constantly work on it. He's an amateur at best, but hacking has become a new hobby of his, and he would love to continue doing so.
