Welcome to the Circus of Dreams, rêveurs! And, yes, unfortunately, this is yet another circus plot, but this time, based on the acclaimed novel, The Night Circus. I'd therefore recommend having read the book prior to applying, as spoilers inside the book may be mentioned in passing, and/or written about in detail. But lets begin, and take the tour around the circus.
Based within District 3, the Circus has a different kind of feel. Kind of ethereal, something that you just can't put your finger on. The tricks always look a bit too real, a little too perfect to be slight of hand, or lighting, or something else. But you're always too immersed in the show, the amazing talent there that you never notice anything odd. It still leaves you feeling confused the second that you leave the gates.
The Cast of the Show:
These are the people who are the circus, the ones that make it masterful performance on every single showing, no matter what time that it is, 10 minutes after the sun droops below the horizon, or an hour prior to the moment that birds begin chirping in the trees.
Celia Bowen: The Illusionist.
Widget Murray: The Story Teller. Born on the day the circus was first opened with her twin Poppet.
Poppet Murray: The Star Reader. Born on the day the circus was first opened with her twin Widget.
Tsukiko: The Contortionist
Isobel Martin: The Fortune Teller
Behind the Scenes:
Not everything about the circus is open to the public. These are the people that make it happen, may it be over dinners that are held the moment the clocks chime towards midnight.
Marco Alisdair: The Assistant for Lefèvre.
Alexander H: The man with a fake name, and a grey suit which is the only thing that is him.
Ethan Barris: Designed the circus
Ana Padva: Former Prima ballerina assoluta, around 60/70 years of age. Innate style.
Chandresh Lefèvre: Proprietor of the Circus.
Lainie Burgess: Sisters with Tara. Focuses on the whole picture.
Tara Burgess: Sisters with Lainie. Focuses on a single thing.
Frederick Thiessen: A master clockmaker. Not a part of the circus, merely one of the dreamers that enjoy that magic of such a place as the circus. Made the clock for the circus.
Bailey Clarke: Merely another dreamer, but he's a major key to the future of the circus.Apply to the plot!:
This is not first come, first serve. They'll be picked depending on who is applied for, and the whole plot's popularity. There are a few things however. All the names can be changed, except the Burgess's and the Murray's, which obviously have to have the same names. I'd also prefer two close(ish) members, (or the same member) to write Lainie and Tara, as their characters go together everywhere, and compliment each other, in both character and speech. Any person that has read the book are prefered also to those who have not. To apply, follow the below form:Name (username):
