With a defined jawline, high cheekbones, and smooth, fair skin, Hannah has several physical aspects of her unknown father’s bloodline, which quickly grew evident as she grew older. Although she looks slightly different from someone of “pure” District 7 lineage, a fact she despised both then and now, the majority of the younger population of her home district took little notice. While the old traditionalists may have found a child of two districts an abomination, younger people had bigger things to worry about than who the parents of a slightly different looking child was, a fact that gave young Sapphire immense relief.


Combined with the dark hair and eyes of her mother’s family, Sapphire had a beauty that was rather unique in her district, one that caught the eye of many a local boy as she hit her teens. Although she deflected most of the romantic advances aimed at her, on occasions she submitted, making her no stranger to the elaborate game of romance. At times, she views her beauty as a curse, as all it ever seems to bring are fuckboys.


Personality:


A tough, no nonsense lady, Sapphire learned from an early age to be strong when she felt like breaking, and to not let anyone else dictate her life. As she was raised by her mother for her early life, they developed a nearly unbreakable bond, one that would shape her life permanently. This philosophy was further enforced by her stepfather, a gruff yet loving man who would turn out to be the father Sapphire never had.


A disciplined individual, Sapphire rarely let her own emotions, desires, or thoughts interrupt her whenever something needed to get done. Whether it was studying for a test, helping her parents or friends through a difficult time, or chopping down that last tree before the sun went down, Sapphire was a firm believer of the “duty comes first” philosophy, which has lost her several friends in the past, as they were annoyed by her firm commitment to her responsibilities over taking some time off and enjoying herself with them.


A rather friendly person under her tough exterior, Sapphire was an avid socializer when she did hang out with others. She was among the more popular kids in school as much for her personality as well as her looks, and had a fair number of friends. Among her closest was her friend Stella, who happened to get reaped for the 70th Hunger Games, and since then has been rather more withdrawn and quiet.


History:


Carrying a name that displays her father’s inner district origins and a personality that matches her mother’s no nonsense attitude, Sapphire was an illegitimate child, the product of an affair between her mother, a worker in the lumber department, and one of the many Peacekeepers that guarded the district. Her father was then shipped off to some other location, while her mother eventually married a lumberjack, who turned out to be a caring, if tough, stepfather.


Being several years older than her two half siblings and a couple of months older than her stepsister, Sapphire assumed the protective, motherly role of her siblings, taking charge when her parents were working and occasionally joining in with said work. Although she had a reputation as a tomboy due to her interests and appearance, she was just as feminine as any normal girl.


Sapphire had her share of friends from around the district, one of the most notable being a girl named Stella Summit. Though the two seemed different on the outside, they were remarkably similar on the inside and became fast friends shortly after Sapphire turned 16. Unfortunately, tragedy struck when Stella was selected for the Games, and Sapphire could only watch for four agonizing days until her friend finally perished in the depths of the arena. yeah as of now she would have been 5 then so re the fuck dacted
