Don't Blame it on the Moon {Lotusmai<3}

Racer used to be a terror and everyone knew it. All the kids at school knew, his parents knew and his older brother knew; encouraged it even. Yet as he started growing up there was someone that kept catching his eye, making him do double takes and picture them behind his closed eyelids. This was a person that Racer bullied every school day and any time he could find them outside of school hours. The only problem was, this person was a male and it led to a multitude of problems for the young Racer.


Now, at the age of 17 he was no longer that terror child and had come to terms with the fact he was most likely gay - the boy that haunted his memories still causing him trouble. Racer had transformed into a studious, quiet and lonely teenage that had his eyes constantly catching those of the one he used to bully. Whenever their eyes would glance past each other guilt washed over the young man as well as a stirring in his stomach somewhat close to the feeling of butterflies when nervous. Still to this day, the one he used to bully haunted him day and night; especially night.


The school day started like any other, avoiding people and keeping his head in a book or watching the world go by. He knew bullying still carried on in the school, it seemed to be a part of growing up for many people; but for him, that life was something he despised and only felt guilty towards. The only problem was, the guy he used to bully seemed to of taken his place in loving the glory of making people feel horrid. Yet, Racer still felt a strange pull towards the guy - despite forcing himself to try and forget him.


Uranus.


Right at the moment, Racer sat on his own in the cafeteria, with his head in a book. A science textbook to be precise as he did his last minute studying for his in-class test later that day. His attention was caught by Uranus as he entered the cafeteria; just like it was everyday. Sneakily, looking up from his textbook, he watched Uranus's every move from just simply sitting at another table, to tripping over a first year.


Racer ended up catching eye contact with him, watching his actions before he helped the kid up. He couldn't believe his eyes, but at the same time he couldn't carry on sitting around watching his 'crush's' every move. Racer sighed, slamming his textbook shut, hoisting his bag onto his shoulder and walking out of the cafeteria before staring made him far too obvious.


The real truth? He needed to get out of there fast before he gave poor Uranus a heart attack from the memories of his bullying days. He knew he'd hurt the only 'special' person in his life and he could never forgive himself for that. Just outside the cafeteria, Racer turned back and watched Uranus for a final time before running and hand down his face and slamming his back into the wall, before sinking to the floor in, what could only be called, anguish. Eventually, he managed to pick his textbook back up to try and make him temporarily forget the guilt.
