kirito
victor of the 70th hunger games
A rift of darkness and waves of confusions swirled constantly through a grey landscape. Voices whispered occasionally through the thick fog of the world. The air was freezing and pricked deep into Kirito's bones like needles. Yet worst of all were the visions that hung over him constantly like his own shadow. Blood spilling from every direction as screams and canons roared. There was no where to run or to hide as bodies kept coming. Each with a face that stung like a dagger in his chest. Then as Kirito tried to run into the fog the sound of trumpets screeched in his ear holes as he himself screamed.
Metallic beeping hit Kirito's ear drums as he shot straight up in his bed. Kirito's heart raced as his head flung around swiftly taking in his surroundings. However what he saw was not a blood filled world with a broken clock but instead a simply white room with one covered window. Across from Kirito was a single metal door to match the kind of machines attached to him. Yet Kirito still felt his head spinning slightly as he began to put pieces together.
Shakily Kirito sighed as he pushed himself into a sitting position upon the side of the bed. Beneath Kirito's feet the tile was cool and slick as he unattached himself from the machines. From what he could tell the machines were keeping track of his heart beat. Still though he couldn't help but flick the screen with his hand... his hand. Kirito nearly jumped back at what he saw. Visions of the hell hound ripping his fingers away drove through his mind yet now they hand been replaced.
Surprise surged through Kirito's body as he slowly tried to move the replacements. Surely enough they moved slightly but not fully. They weren't his actual fingers and neither were the ears he felt now reattached to his head. However Kirito was well aware of the eye patch that now covered his eye. Part of him wondered why his eye was not repaired as well but his question was quickly answered as a startled nurse found him awake and sitting.
"Oh my Mr. Miristioma you are up! Please be careful you aren't fully well yet." Kirito rolled his eyes at the young Capitolite as he pointed to the patch with a questioning look on his face. It took the oddly excited woman a moment to realize just what he was asking and to finally answer the question without fainting. "Oh... yes the patch. I do apologize Mr. Miristioma this is my first time meeting a victor."
Her words shook Kirito's body like an earthquake as he felt Kiri stirring weakly beneath his skin. Kirito had forgotten what he really had become. He was a complete vassal of the Capitol now and one they would milk out for years to come. In fact Kirito was so over whelmed with the realization of his now controlled life that he nearly missed her explaining that he would have to wear the patch until his new partial eye sight returned. All he would do was grunt, of course the Capitol could even fix a gouged eye.
With every passing second Kirito stayed sitting in the room the more he desired to get away. "Scuse meh miss." He said to the lady as his chest burned with his speaking, most likely from the plethora of wounds Wyatt had inflicted there. "Can I return to my floors in the Trainin' Centa?" Surely enough the question shocked the woman but she did not say no as she allowed him to change into a simple grey track suit.
With the happiness of getting away from the insanity of the hospital Kirito pushed himself to his feet only to crumble back down like the clock tower he left behind. Pain roared through his chest as his wounds hissed at him. Yet Kirito forced himself back to his feet as he turned to the nurse. "Thank ya for all ya help. Howeva' please have some morphine dropped off at meh room cause I'ma need all the relief I can get." Once again the nurse nodded before leading him to his escort who came rushing over to him before Kirito could even blink.
"Kirito! Oh my goodness I can't believe I actually get to see you again! Now come along let's get you back to your floor in the Training Center." Although as annoying as ever Kirito couldn't help but be happy about having Melon Man back by his side again. For once in so many weeks Kirito felt like things were actually getting normal again. That was until ten minutes later he walked back onto District Eleven's floor.
Fear once again gripped Kirito's throat as not Katelyn was waiting for him but instead both Warren Whip and Charlie Garnet sat on the sofa with drinks in hand. Kirito felt his hands shaking as he forced himself to slowly take a seat in an arm chair across from them. Sighing weakly Kirito spoke as calmly as he could to his two guests. "Greetins Mr. Whip and Ms. Garnet. What do I owe the pleasure for y'all's comany?"
