w e a r e o u r n a m e s .
{ d e s t i n y n a m e }
birth
A tiny, sometimes squalling, sometimes silent-- but always tiny-- infant wrapped in a blanket and a mother's embrace.
a pronouncement of their destiny.
Unable to walk, yet their path for life already marked and mapped.
{ g r o w t h n a m e }
twelve
A white, sometimes read, sometimes left-- but always white-- paper slip tangled up in other slips and a glass bowl's embrace.
a pronouncement of who they must become.
Unable to see tomorrow, yet their hourglass for life already turned upside down.
{ a d u l t n a m e }
nineteen
A living, sometimes ready, sometimes slow-- but always living-- soul encased in the flesh of a human and expectation.
a pronouncement of who they have grown to be.
Unable to stand on solid ground, yet expected to more forward with purpose.
{ e t e r n a l n a m e }
thirty-five
A grown-up, sometimes fulfilled, sometimes destroyed-- but always grown-up-- person living under the rule of a man and the shame of a life.
a pronouncement of their legacy.
Unable to fathom the void, yet expected to face it with a spine of steel.
y o u a r e y o u r n a m e .
If you want the
prestige--
power--
wealth--
that comes with your name, you must accept it.
Embracing it, however, was never required.

for your information
Welcome to the Fodder Family! This is a basic family plot with a twist: rather than me telling you who the adoptable characters are, you get to decide, whether by claiming an already named child or by making up your own.
I've given you the parent's information in the hopes that you can use that to explain why your character is the way they are. Beyond that, run wild. You can do almost anything!
Parents aren't going to be available for adoption so that they can remain NPCs throughout all threads.
Just to explain the whole "names" thing, the four pieces listed in the introduction are the different names given at different times in a person's life. All names are given by King, as is the right of each patriarch in the Fodder family.
