"life don't discriminate
between
the sinners and the saints""You're an arrogant girl!""And well-You're gosh damn rightAbout that."
Her voice rang sweet- the crystal epitome of a melodic conundrum to the bargaining ear. The corners of her lips raised in a crooked smile, revealing her teeth in which- a serpents tongue hissed. All beneath her cut, flawless, pearled-over teeth and plush, parted lips. Softly biting her bottom, peeling the dry, dead skin away, Scarlett slips her nimble fingers between the tight pockets of her pants.
Heels of clicking leather boots against the cracked desert flooring, the sound echoed into the distance, where the sun covered the land. Shifting one of the last cigarettes in between her teeth, a fire ignited of more than burning hatred to set the end aflame. Although, she kept the custom zippo lighter clutch firmly in her right hand. Playing the lid up and down as she watched the flame sizzle deeply in her very eyes with the quick flick of the flint wheel.
"You'll never get away with this!"
A face of pure consideration stroked itself upon Scarlett's. Squatting down to make clear eye to eye contact with whom she'd pursued. Bright, alluring, pale blue eyes grasped ahold of his, freezing them in her icy gaze.
A smirk rose up against her subtle blushing cheeks. Eyes wandering and mind pondering along the mans roped body, resting along above snakes on a cracked desert surface- at least for now. The gleam in her eyes, formed by the radiating sun, transferred along to a chuckle, where eye contact was not met, until his final moments."Oh trust meI've already have. But for you--As cold as my wagon's tire."
Hesitation wasn't existent when a girl lived her life on the wild side. With the agile flick of the lid and a toss of her hand the surrounding sky was filled with saturating flames. Screaming in agonizing moments, Scarlett turned away, for fire catches to ice.
And some would say
She was only able to do this
Because she was no new face-
The sun had set far long ago, the howling of the moonlight crashed against the ground, left waiting to pass along. In flames that roared dying oranges and pastels, the night sky freckled with white along the wet washed dark purples and blacks.
The clock struck about half past midnight. Beyond then was grounds for passing curfew, but what is a life that is not lived to the extent? I push my fingers against the sliding glass window of the house, slowly and steadily opening it along so that even a movement could go unheard. Hitting its maximum, I slip my body atween the sill and find myself pacing along a wooden floor that threatens to squeak upon a false step.
Retrieving what I'd come for- a pretty penny earned in my pocket- I begin to search the seemingly vacant house, for an heirloom that'd be worth an actual."Lo and beholdWhat've we got here?"
A smirk slithers like a laceration along my lips, as words form in almost an attempt at a hushed whisper, and I find myself two and two with a pair of eyes that meet mine.
