Name:
Jakobi Anderson
Age:
17
Gender:
Male
District/Area:
6
Appearance:
(Mason Dye)
When someone thinks of the word “mechanic”, they might think of an older, dark haired man, usually wearing glasses and often smudged with various types of oil or grease. Jakobi fits none of these stereotypes, with the exception of the latter on occasion, although in his defense he is technically a mechanic’s apprentice instead of a mechanic. Standing at five feet ten inches tall and weighing 120 pounds, the seventeen year old’s thin, wiry form, though lacking the strength of many of his peers, has proven advantageous in situations both in and outside of the workshop, as he is able to squeeze into places many others cannot.
With light blonde hair and an equally fair complexion, Jakobi has a rather striking look that has caught the eye of many a person. He has a boyish face that makes him appear younger than he actually is, a fact that, due to him being the youngest in his family, he dislikes immensely. His older sister in particular has a tendency to tease him about it. Piercing blue eyes complete the picture, giving anyone who looks into them the impression that Jakobi is staring into their very soul and unraveling their deepest secrets.
Personality:
A social, outgoing kind of guy, Jakobi has made a fair share of friends both in the mechanic’s shop and out. A natural extrovert, he has little to no problem with putting himself out there and making himself the center of attention. Although he is by no means popular, he is friends with several among the popular clique in his school, and has an air and attitude similar to the clique the majority of the time. He is quick to get friendly in both a platonic and romantic sense alike, the former resulting in many acquaintances along his friends and the latter to the point where a friend once commented that he would “do anyone and anything with a pulse.”
As he tends to do things first and ask questions later, Jakobi is pretty much the epitome of impulsive. More often than not he’s made questionable modifications to machinery and the like in the mechanic’s shop, ending with mixed results and feedback from his boss. Likewise, his impulsive nature has led to him doing some not so smart things in the past, especially with friends. The best of these had left him with a bruise along his leg, the worst, a broken arm. Despite this, however, Jakobi has changed little in the years since.
Perhaps his most defining trait is his innate goofiness. Whether it came from being the younger sibling to a more serious sister, his attempt to join the popular clique, or just his natural personality, Jakobi is and has always been a bit of a goof. Some of his most common acts are playing pranks on the senior mechanic or a teacher, performing some crazy stunt to entertain his peers, or tossing around one of his many wisecracking jokes.
History:
Born into an average family in Six, Jakobi is the younger of two, his older sister having just escaped reaping age the year before. His parents were both mechanics, taking alternate weeks and days off to care for the two of them in their infancy and early youth. As she was his only playmate, Jakobi entered a sort of love-hate relationship with each other throughout the years. She was often his first target for early pranks, and whenever he successfully pulled one off, her cries of "JAH-KOH-BEEEEE!" echoed throughout the house.
As he progressed through his early years of school, Jakobi’s outgoing nature took shape, as he made friend after friend and attempted to join the popular clique. Despite this, he never truly became close friends with anyone, following the philosophy of quantity over quality. As he entered his high school years, Jakobi also had a number of romantic encounters with members of both sexes, though none ended up lasting that long, whether it was because of him or the other.
At age fifteen, Jakobi’s parents apprenticed him to a mechanic friend of theirs to learn one of the many trades of his home. Despite being practically forced into the job, he enjoys it quite a bit. He’s picked up many tricks over the past two years, mainly on how to fix and upgrade trains but also on non-motor objects, such as house equipment, school maintenance systems, and prank devices made to set traps for friend and boss alike.
