As you look at Emmaline,your first impression would be that she is very average.All of her body is lacking in muscle,and her height only reaches to a good 5 feet,4 inches.Her legs are very thin,as are her arms.Her body is very petite,and she looks very vulnerable.As you look up at her face,you will see large,beautiful eyes that are the color of an astonishing ice blue.They are rimmed with a darker blue around the irises and are flecked with just a little bright green.But,the biggest fact about her:She is blind in both eyes.So her eyes have a slight faraway,milky look to them.Her haircut is very tomboyish,as it is cut neatly,and very short,falling about halfway down her ears.It is the color of plain dirty blonde,but she never ever wants to color it.She hates seeing people who purposely change their appearances in odd ways.Her face is very beautiful,with angular bones and a blush to her cheeks.Her skin is always fairly clear,free of blemishes.She wears a variety of clothing,ranging from plain tee-shirts and jeans to comfortable dresses.She is supposed to walk around with a cane,but she doesn't,usually.She knows her way around almost perfectly.

Personality:

If anyone thinks that Emmaline's blindness is a reason to pity her,she will be on your case in a millisecond.She is very proud of herself,but she has many restrictions because of her blindness,so she isn't overly outgoing.She usually is rather silent,but others shouldn't be fooled by that.With her family,she is always part of the conversation,and you could probably say that she is the 'crazy one'.Always coming up with something random to say.But in public,it doesn't really matter how she acts with her family.Because everyone usually pities her,or ignores her,labeling her as a freak.She has gained respect by few.People just don't see how hard she works,not being able to see every second of every day,while they can see every detail.They don't see that.They see someone who might need a little extra help getting around,who might need help feeding herself,and who would be a burden.But they don't know her.She walks tall and proud as if she really can see,while she is really just walking the path she usually recognizes.She can do everything else just fine too.Her worst fear is that she will end up in the Hunger Games.Because really,she would be dead within 30 seconds.

History:

Emmaline was born into a normal family,who expected to have a normal child.But they were kind and loving,and didn't have too many troubles with money or food,so she was in the right place.As a kid,she grew up being made fun of and pitied,and there was nothing more she hated.Those people shaped every inch of her personality,making her the proud,independent person she is.She did have some troubles in the beginning,but she had everything pretty much learned after a while.She has one hilarious younger brother,and her parents are still the sweet and helpful people that they were when she was born.If she had been born into any other family,she would have been a goner.She adores her family more then anything else,and has very little hopes for the future,and has to figure things out.
