I was reading in the Info box (above the c-box) about the weather and noticed the part about the 'northern districts.' Online there seems to be much debate about the locations of all of the districts and the Capitol. Is there an official map that is used on here? How do I know if a district is northern or in another compass direction? Genuine question, not being a smarty pants at all.

There currently is no set map of panem that has been created by anyone that the site follows, and perhaps there won't be one (will not say ever because who knows)

As one may have, or may not have, noticed that some of the Districts & Industries are not canon to what they are in the books, and this is because the site was made before they were released (added on that several versions of official maps have been released ex: panem propaganda, hg game, etc...). So, to go along with saying this we tend to go by where we, as individuals, interpret each to be located- not everyone will agree with one another per se, but it's what has worked so far.
